The actress who played Jamie is Danielle Harris. She played a lot of scary movies over the years like Halloween 5, Urban Legend, Hatchet and Rob Zombie's Halloween
Jamie is such a tragic character constantly being compared to her uncle, her mother dead and Micheal her uncle coming back to kill her. It just makes the stakes higher since he’s going after a literal child someone who can’t really defend themselves against the embodiment of evil. Great kills in this one and never thought about getting impaled with a shotgun. The ending is amazing.
So, 4-6 was originally meant to be canon to the H20 timeline, but the writers couldn't come up with a logical conclusion as to why Laurie would abandon her daughter when she faked her death. They even originally had a reference to Jamie in the H20 script, but they took it out...
@ELiizDa1 They couldn't found a logical way to incorporate it without making Laurie look like a terrible mother, because why would she fake her death, leave her daughter behind, but also have a son only a few years younger than Jamie. But it was in the original script (Kevin Williamson), and it's actually a really sad & triggering scene on Laurie's part...
@@FairlyDoubtful1 Busta Rhymes doing karate he practiced from a book is ridiculous. The stunt men couldn’t even make him look like he knew how to throw a kick.
🎃 🎃 🎃 Born in the early 80s, I grew up on horror movies, and Halloween 4 was my favorite along with the original in 1978. But Halloween 4, Danielle Harris just blew me away with her performance, i still to this day love her. And while Halloween 5 is not a masterpiece,i still love the film. It's its sentimental to me because of my childhood and Danielle is also in that film. 🎃 🎃 🎃
If there's anything you need to know about the series overall, it's that there are unofficially about *five* different timelines. This is largely due to the fact that the continuity would get erased and rebooted whenever the series started getting stale, and also to accommodate Jamie Lee Curtis whenever she'd return or leave the series. There's even a fan-made "Choose Your Own Halloween Adventure" visual diagram that clarifies all the different timelines and continuities.
Rachel is such an underrated final girl. She's in fact one of my faves. I think the only mistakes she made was her Brady distractions like Jamie walkimg off and her not running. The way she toom iff running as soon as she. She didn't call out to it, saying "Who's there?" or nothing. Just hauled ass, got up over that fence, and kept going. She was out here climbing a damn roof with her sister on her back and was able to think fast to find a way to get her down. THEN after she done fell off the damn roof, she came clutch she pulled up to the school looking crazy and fucked up with a fire exatinguisher. And of course taking over the wheel, getting Michael off the car while he'a literally grabbed her while she's driving, hit his ass with the car, and then flagged down the sherrif and reinforcements. The horror community needs to be putting respect on Jamie doesn't ever have to quedtion on whether Rachel loved her like a real sister ever again. She got her answer that night for sure. I put Rachel up there with Kyle from Child's Play 2 for me... Danielle Harris as Jamie is a great Scream Queen. Hell, she's better than some of these adults "final girls", both character wise and acting wise lol. Speaking of Child's Play, I'd put Jamie in the same category as Andy both character and acting wise. In fact, the Rachel/Jamie relationship reminds me of Kyle/Andy. Two of my favorite final duos and they're both big sister, little sibling dynamics. When it's crunch time, big sis got you lol. I'm also glad they brought Danielle back as Annie in the Rob Zombie remakes (the fact that she was in her 30s still able to play a teenager lol...
Even though the Blumhouse trilogy ignored all the sequels they retooled & added in a ton of stuff from them anyway, so you'll probably get quite a bit of deja vu with parts 4-6. I'm only halfway through this reaction & Adam is picking up on A LOT already 😂👍and I agree the mask in this one is not good... it's even weirder in the next movie 😬
4 was a better sequel than most. I enjoyed it despite its flaws. The mask issues are famous. Look up behind the scenes stuff. Errors were made and they slipped into the movie. Also, 4-6 were filmed in Salt Lake City whereas the new ones were filmed elsewhere. But this is one of my more favorable sequels.
The ending of Halloween H20 pays homage to the ending of Halloween 4, as both films end with Michael being struck by a vehicle. Even though both films belong to two separate timelines, H20 slyly seems to imply that Michael learned from the events of Halloween 4 by grabbing onto the front of the speeding coroner's van when Laurie drives into him rather than just letting it hit him. H20 was initially intended to be a canonical continuation of all the previous Michael Myers movies, and the script included a scene of Laurie quietly mourning over a photo of Jamie. But that idea was abandoned in favor of completely ignoring Halloween 4, 5, and 6. However, the finale's nod to the ending of Halloween 4 remained in the script.
Myers didn't know Jamie was his niece at the store. HE even tilted his head as if to say "what are you screaming for little girl?" It's why he kept looking from the broken mirror at them surrounding her wondering why this is all going down. So he follows them to the house, waits for them to leave and digs through the girl's stuff and finds the pic of his sister and realizes this is the girl he's after. The new trilogy was all filmed in North Carolina. This was filmed in Utah, they only filmed in Utah for 4,5,6. Cheaper than in Pasadena, CA where 1, and 2 were filmed.
I live right down the road from Wilmington North Carolina where they filmed Halloween kills I know it's pretty awesome my only issue with people that watch horror movies that are from the 80s is I feel like they talk too much and they nitpick too much about movies that were back then because it's like people have to realize it was a different time you didn't have all the tech now so when people sit there and say why did this person do this why did that person do that it's like how the fuck would you react if you were growing up back then it was a whole different ball game
The kid is Danielle Harris, my favourite child actor, and she has grown up to be one my favourite actresses. I've always loved this film. It's my 4th favourite Halloween after the original, Halloween Kills, and Halloween 2 (81), and it's in my favourite 50 movies.
The actress that plays Jamie is Danielle Harris, she is in a lot of Horror stuff, she is a amazing actress, she's done few non Horror movies and shows but Horror/Thriller is her genre
This is why I never understood why fans said the whole lynch mob "Evil Dies Tonight" didn't make sense or it was unrealistic when they've literally done it twice in the franchise before that. First, it was in the original Halloween II when the people were rioting outside of the Myers' House after they found out about the murders from a news report on tve radio. Then they do it here, but on a much smaller scale, which makes sense because these guys are the only ones who knows that Michael was in town. Hell, Loomis in the first film told the sheriff not to alert the public that Michael was around because it would cause panic and paranoia which could cause more innocent poeple to get hurt (like we saw in this) or getting a bunch of false claims of seeing him around everywhere around town. The only difference that the new one was on a much bigger scale, but that's because it's the age of social media and the whole town found out through the news that he was out and created a very realistic showing on how dangerous mob mentality can be...
Michael Myer's hegty self climbing the roof (Jamie's screaming in the background) is probably one of the funniest horror moments I've ever seen in my life lol. Me, my sisters and cousins used to rewind that shit over and over again 😆..
Yeah, Brady may have shown some of men's less appealing traits, but he also showed some of our BEST qualities, as well. He put himself between Rachel and Michael Myers, and he wasn't moving...If I had a son, I'd be proud to see him handle himself this way.
FUN FACT: the white hair mask was on set for some reason and they used it on accident cause it was dark and they didn't know till they had filmed why they didn't refilm is just laziness so now part 4 is known for the infamous blonde michael
One of the best endings in horror. My personal theory is that it didn't "transfer" when she touched his hand. I think it awaken what was already in her blood. I think throughout the movie she wasn't terrified because he was scary, but because she was fighting her own bad thoughts
This would have to be my favorite Halloween out of the original franchise by the way love your Chucky Funko Pop in the Michael Myers definitely subscribing I got the Trick or Treat Studios Chucky doll
This is easily my favorite Halloween movie and it is a continuation to Halloween 2. This is the movie that introduced Danielle Harris. This film was so intense and did so much things better than the prior movies and future movies. Danielle Harris is a HORROR ICON. Surprised none of you recognized her. The Scream Queen of Hatchet. Played in Rob Zombie's Halloween remakes because Rob Zombie saw her talent and passion for this franchise (far more passion than Jamie Lee Curtis and that was kind of proven when Danielle tried to meet Jamie Lee Curtis a couple years ago). Danielle also starred in Stream (by some creators of the Terrifier Franchise). VERY SHOCKED y'all have no idea who Danielle Harris is. This was her debut in HORROR. She's been known for years in the genre. Been in far more horror than Jamie Lee Curtis and Neve Campbell.
Just so you know…. The Halloween series has 4 different storylines. 1. H1 and H2 2. H1, H2, H4, H5, H6 3. H1, H2, H H20, H Resurrection 4. H1, H 2018, H Kills, H Ends The Halloween series originally meant to be a anthology which is why Halloween 3 is a different story. But when H3 was released they realized people wanted more Michael Myers. Also it’s 2 complete remakes by a director named Rob Zombie who came out with H 2007 and H2 2009.
Yes, I think her work in that one is about as good as a child has ever done in a horror movie(or just about ANY movie, for that matter). I think having her conflicted, and torn between some vague sense of connection to Michael, and also the dread that anyone would feel towards him...this called for a performance that was far more challenging than it would have been if they simply had her be the new killer and act like a little zombie. She handled it brilliantly.
WOW one of the first people to say that. A director who ONLY did comedy movies in FRANCE was hired for that film. The guy who had the rights was going to lose them in 1990, so he had to ship out a sequel before then and it's why it came out so fast after this one. He didn't care about it, just wanted to keep the rights to his cash cow. So in desperation hires that horrible director who had no clue how to shoot anything but foreign comedies. He chose that horrible mask as crew members said they had a mask exactly like the OG one, he hated it. He picked that horrible Myers house, he added those clown sound effects whenever those two cops show up. EVERYONE who worked on it calls it garbage. He didn't want loomis in it, he made Danielle a mute, when everyone was like this is the wrong way to go about things.
I watched audio commentary for this with Danielle Harris and Ellie Cornell (Jamie and Rachel). They go into great detail about certain things, including the rooftop scene, estimating they were several feet up, so it was scary to do.
I remember watching halloween 4 Return of michael myers with my mother on halloween the channel was called fear fast back 12 years ago and halloween 5 revenge of michael myers
Some films to watch for Halloween: The Monster Squad, The Shed, Wishmaster part 1, Vamp, The Mist, Warlock, Troll part 1, Sinister, V/H/S/Beyond, The Sixth Sense, Ghost Story, Ghoulies 2, Beetlejuice, Lore (2023), Abigail, Fear Street: Part One - 1994 from Netflix, Fear Street: Part Two - 1978, Fear Street: Part Three - 1666 from Netflix, Ghost Stories on Shudder, Sleepy Hollow, Trick R' Treat, Casper, Hocus Pocus, Under Wraps, Ghostbusters, Monster House, Night of the Demons, The Midnight Hour, The Forgotten One, ParaNorman, Waxwork part 1, Tales from the Hood, The Frighteners, Silent Hill, Goosebumps, Creepshow, The Gate, Lady in White, Killer Party, Fright Night part 1, The Night Flier, The Lost Boys, Demons part 1, The Changeling, Poltergeist, The Mortuary Collection, Corpse Bride, Stake Land, Hellboy from Guillermo del Toro, Blade part 1, The Woman in Black, Crimson Peak, The Devil's Backbone, The Conjuring part 1, Evil Dead, Cabin in the Woods, Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight, House part 1, Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, Dog Soldiers, My Demon Lover and Pumpkinhead!!!
This was a vehicle to bring Michael Meyers back to life. After part 2, Mike had been written off as dead and so Season of the Witch had nothing to do with Michael Meyers. The audience wanted their boy back, so...ta-da! Mike had an unknown niece.
Not going to lie I wish y’all would have watched these 1st these films still kinda tie in together in a way fans create their own theories. Halloween 4 is the reason Michael is a BEAST John carpenter wanted no parts of bringing Michael back Halloween was supposed to be an anthology film series Fans missed Michael && Jason and Freddy was taking over the 80s so 1988 Michael had to come back just as strong maybe stronger than Jason! A lot of the kills in this film are inspired from Friday the 13th. The 1st Halloween he was a random guy stalking girls and that was very scary because in the 70s neighborhoods were pretty safe so H2 making him have a connection w/ Laurie changed the film and fans were now invested Halloween 4 is actually a fan favorite by a lot of fans it’s the reason he still lives on anything is capable. The newer films don’t really do well with storytelling they focus more on the kills using famous entertainers to play 2min unimportant roles for a kill scene that could’ve been dialogue for another scene that thickens the plot better but hey that’s what happens when Hollywood gets control over a franchise everyone needs a buck however the newer films suck they could’ve did more with these characters in the later films the newer films are for the new generation (jumps scares, gore, graphic images) not the continuation story for the fans…
Interesting reaction. Comparing it to the newer films and shay the copied. The mask change is something that continues throughout out the thorn movies.
Glad you enjoyed it. This is my favourite one. It has the best ending, too. I agree about the mask. It's the worst in the series for me. Unfortunately, the quality and plausibility declines in the next two.
Brady was not the first Michael killed people ien the ambulance and then tossed a guy on electricty ut counts if you don't fully see him kill them cause you saw his hand go on one if there faces in the ambulance
I chose to ignore the fact a lot of these sequels take place after Halloween 2, because his eyes magically grow back despite Laurie shot them out. To me they just retcon it and ignore the actual events of 2, well some aspects
@@phallondavenport470no....she was in 3 different ones! 1978, 2018, Kills, and Ends is 1. Halloween 2, 4 5, 6, are is another and H20 and Resurrection is the 3rd
@@tgriffin3059 I agree, I'm in my 20s but I grew up with older horror films on TV and while I can enjoy a lot of modern horror I really love older horror movies too but a lot of younger people enjoy the "elevated horror" for reasons I don't understand
I’m a believer of the theory that Laurie had twins but left Jamie with the Strode family and took John to California after faking her death in the car crash

Lover and Pumpkinhead!!!
This was a vehicle to bring Michael Meyers back to life. After part 2, Mike had been written off as dead and so Season of the Witch had nothing to do with Michael Meyers. The audience wanted their boy back, so...ta-da! Mike had an unknown niece.
He did not know who she was until she saw the photos of Jaime
This took place after the second one where Dr Loomis blew up a room and Michael was on fire.
I wish they would digitally update the mask in this movie to look like the original.
Rachel is an ultimate final girl 👑
🙄 they haven't reacted to it yet so well done for spoiling it.
@@HeyywoodJablowme My bad 😭
The other Halloween films got the scenes and house's from this and this did them first
When you get to the 6th you should watch both versions
You saw the kill of Michael killing the guy when he threw him in the electricity conducters
Greetings from Chicago everyone. 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it. This is my favourite one. It has the best ending, too. I agree about the mask. It's the worst in the series for me. Unfortunately, the quality and plausibility declines in the next two.
Had to login to give a like and thumbs up! Ash vs Evil Dead would be great too
Halloween 4 my favorite I love the mask in this movie don't know why people get the hate for it
If you hate this mask, wait till you see the one in #5 😂
they left dr. Loomis lol
You guys should watch sleepaway camp 1983
H4 mask was dope....it looked ugly in some shots but it had quite a few really good shots too.
Hi i'm new here and can you watch Eleanor's Secret (2009)
Please🙏
If you didn’t like the mask In this one wait until the 5th one lol
I love Halloween reactions mo favorite movies of all time accept Stephen king movies.
Can you guys react to cobra kai
Do you also gonna watch halloween 6
Idk if that’s a Dr Loomis impression you’re trying to do but you sound nothing like him. You sound more like Hannibal with a horrible cough.
Awesome reaction/ can you please watch a movie called STEPHEN KINGS THINNER.
Could you guys please react to the movie old or Disturbia? They’re really good thriller movies and I think you would like them for Halloween.
Brady was not the first Michael killed people ien the ambulance and then tossed a guy on electricty ut counts if you don't fully see him kill them cause you saw his hand go on one if there faces in the ambulance
I was wondering where’s all the Asian reactors
Pls watch terrifier 3
Watch founders Day
I chose to ignore the fact a lot of these sequels take place after Halloween 2, because his eyes magically grow back despite Laurie shot them out. To me they just retcon it and ignore the actual events of 2, well some aspects
Even though I love the producer’s cut of Halloween 6, do not watch it. The theatrical cut has creepier and better chase scenes. And more gore!
Part 5 is the worst of these 3 i love 6 if you can watch the producers cut for 6
Don't be disrespecting Danielle harris like that lol
After 5 & 6, make sure to watch the RZ ones too.
You asked how Jaime knew who Michael myers but when rhe kids knew who that Michael Myers was Jaime's uncle you never said anything
Laurie faked her death
Not in this timeline.
Wrong timeline
Wrong timeline. Lauren had two different timelines.
@@phallondavenport470 you are correct...she faked on H20
@@phallondavenport470no....she was in 3 different ones! 1978, 2018, Kills, and Ends is 1. Halloween 2, 4 5, 6, are is another and H20 and Resurrection is the 3rd
Why do the people reacting to these movies laugh constantly. I've seen hundreds of horror movies and never laughed once
Called having a personality get a life sad little person
They're used to modern horror movies older films don't meet the standards unfortunately
@@MikeyFilms Quite the reverse...modern movies are almost universally trash...movies from the 70's and 80's were the gold standard....
I know. People shitting on my favorite movies mean I don't give a thumbs up
@@tgriffin3059 I agree, I'm in my 20s but I grew up with older horror films on TV and while I can enjoy a lot of modern horror I really love older horror movies too but a lot of younger people enjoy the "elevated horror" for reasons I don't understand
I’m a believer of the theory that Laurie had twins but left Jamie with the Strode family and took John to California after faking her death in the car crash
