This movie is full of fun halloween franchise and Jamie Lee Curtis Easter eggs!! Jamie’s mother Janet Lee, star of the classic horror movie “Psycho”, is the one that bumps into Laurie and says “everyone’s entitled to one good scare.” When she walks away, she gets in the original car from the movie Psycho. Also, The nurse Marion that is killed in the beginning is the same nurse from Halloween 1978 and Halloween 2. She also makes an appearance in the newest Halloween trilogy. Thanks for another fun video, Fan Pops!!!
This is the best one❤to me. This should've been the final one. Or they should have had Jamie Lee Curtis kill him the same way in the newest one, which was 🗑 just horrible.
The location used for the school in this movie is in fact the same building as Roman's house from the end of 'Scream 3,' well-spotted. A good bit of the music in this movie is also taken directly from 'Scream' and 'Scream 2.' This movie and the first four 'Scream' flicks were all produced by the same studio, Dimension Films. The opening credits list "Music by John Ottman" and "Additional Music by Marco Beltrami." Ottman was hired for this film and wrote an entire musical score, but the producers didn't really like it, thinking it was too elaborate and orchestral to fit the movie. Since the studio already had the rights to the music Beltrami had done for the 'Scream' movies, they just recycled that music to replace the parts of Ottman's score that they threw out. You also spotted that Michael's mask looks different in the opening scene than it does in the rest of the movie. It's actually even more than that - if you look closely, there are FOUR different masks visible on Michael throughout the movie. In the opening scene, it's a mask made from the same mold as the one used in the sixth movie, because when they shot that they didn't have their new design ready yet. They shot most of the movie with a mask made by the special effects company KNB, which was frankly terrible and looks goofy as hell. At some point, after most of the movie had already been shot, they finally realized how bad it was and replaced it with a third mask designed by Stan Winston. They re-shot most of the close-ups where you can see it clearly using the new Winston mask, which is much better. However, they didn't bother for shots of Michael in the distance or some quick close-up shots where they didn't think the difference would be too obvious. Finally, when Michael bumps into the guy in front of the sink - 27:01 in your video - they couldn't re-shoot the scene because they didn't have access to the location anymore. So instead of leaving in a clear shot of the KNB mask, they used CGI to try and change it into the Winston design. Which is maybe actually worse. The writers and director of this movie wanted the ending to be definitive and for Michael to really be dead, but the producers wanted to leave open the possibility for more sequels if this movie did well. So they actually had extra scenes shot and written during production of this movie in order to explain how Michael can be in the next one. You'll see that footage in 'Resurrection.'
The actor playing Michael Myers in this one is the same actor who played Ghostface in Scream 2. There's alot of nods and Easter eggs to the Scream franchise in this movie. ❤
Josh Hartnett is in another good horror movie called The Faculty. He also stars in Pearl Harbor. The old woman Laurie bumped into was played by Jamie Lee Curtis' real mother, Janet Leigh who starred in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho. Also when she said, "Everyone's entitled to one good scare", that was a callback to the original Halloween when Sheriff Brackett said the same thing.
Fun fact: the woman who played her secretary was Jamie's mother in real life. And her mother was the woman in the iconic shower scene of the movie Psycho. When she leaves to get in her car in h20, she's actually getting into the car that she was in that movie yes. As she gets in, you can hear the music from psycho in the background. That's also why LL Cool J called Jamie psycho. Also, this was supposed to be the final chapter, NOT resurrection. Jamie found out that it was in the contract that Michael couldn't die. So she and the writer Kevin Williamson decided that they would create an ending where it would seem obvious to anyone, including Laurie, that he was dead if they wanted to believe that was the end. The only reason she did the movie resurrection was contractual obligation. Fans of Laurie strode know she deserved better than the ending she got.
Glad you reacted to this movie the Halloween franchise is such fun...did u notice the lady who played Norma in this movie, Janet Lee is Jamie Lee Curtis real life mum and she was the original scream queen she was the lady Norman Bates gets in the shower in Psycho...great reaction to this keep enjoying spooky season 🎃
The “School” IS ALSO “House” in SCREAM 3!! She’s got an incredible eye! H20 & Scream 3 are two of my all time fav movies & it was a few years before I knew it was the same building lol. I was so impressed when she first said it!
Fun Fact: They loved the Halloween homages they did in Scream two years prior, so they returned the favor in this by having Scream 2 play on the TV and also recreating Drew Barrymore's death where she's bloodied and hanging from the tree, except they had the girl hanging in the closet by a light...
The order y’all are watching the movies in aren’t bad but Halloween 4 still ties in w/ Laurie just through other characters. 4, 5, and 6 easily can make some sort of sense leading up to H20 as it still keeps true to the story… Halloween 4 is probably the BEST Halloween was supposed to be an anthology film so 2 was supposed to be the end of Michael forever and that’s when we get Halloween 3 With a different story altogether Fans missed Michael and John carpenter did not want to bring Michael back nor did he want to proceed any longer w/ the film he wanted the Halloween movies Each to a have different stories Michael just returned by popular demand w/ new writers and production
Rob Zombie's remake of the original comes after Resurrection, followed by his sequel to the remake. THEN it's the new trilogy timeline starting with Halloween 2018.
H20 was supposed to be the end of the Halloween franchise until the studio got greedy and decided to make the abysmal Resurrection (which does not exists in my mind). For me, this is the true ending of this timeline.
Actually Paul Rudd is in the one before this (Halloween: The curse of Micheal Myers) part 6, which is a part of the 4,5 &6 timeline. Plus if you guys want to know where Micheal goes for the year when it’s not Halloween just keep watching because Halloween Resurrection and Halloween Ends answers that.
I can't believe it took so long to recognize the nurse because she looks the same. And I know y'all eventually figured out that the old lady who scared Jamie is actually her real mom. She played in Psycho. from Psycho. Michelle Williams is also from Dawson's Creek and Venom (as Anne). She's in quite a few movies actually.
Great catch Denise !! Hill crest and the directors house in scream 3 were both the same location 😂 also I dunno if you’ve figured it out yet or not but you watched outta order so the movie prior to H20 is the one where it’s introducing Paul STEPHEN Rudd, it’s already tricky timeline but the way you guys are watching is just Ganna mess yous up, you should have watched in chronological order
I'm STILL waiting for you guys to react to Halloween 4. BY FAR my favorite Halloween movie and does everything better than prior installments. H20 is my 2nd favorite though. I just didn't like how the mask always showed his eyes lol. Halloween 4's freaking amazing though.
Fan Pops now that both of y'all love birds have checked out Halloween H20 (Halloween 20 Years Later) here's an unofficial sequel I highly recommend checking out sometime please which somewhat completely ignores events of Halloween Resurrection (The Haddonfield Nightmare: A Halloween Fan Film)!
See, apparently, the film was originally supposed to have Nurse Marion survive - hey, she's a fan favorite - and L.L. Cool J.'s character was supposed to die. But L.L. had a clause in his contract stating that his character can't be killed off, and so, to the dismay and ire of the Halloween fandom, they killed off Marion. Now, I personally don't know why they couldn't have killed off another character that was in the film that wasn't supposed to die. Why not Norma... let's hear that famous Psycho scream again. Or what about the mother and daughter at the rest stop.
@fanpops H20 FUN FACTS: the college is the same house as SCREAM 3, Romeo Must Die, and VALENTINE. NORMA (Laurie’s assistant) is Janet Leigh, Jamie’s mom and the lead actress from Psycho. She’s driving the same car from Psycho in the movie. Kevin Williamson wrote H20 who also wrote Scream.

Grate reaction guys and can't wait to see what you think about Haloween 2018 which is the first one of the new movies.
I'm loving these reactions y'all. H..2-O...😂 (we always called it that too) ...is definitely one of my favorites (POP) and I was really loving this new timeline...until Resurrection. 🤦🏿♂️ But we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Also, technically, this is movie #3 of the this new timeline. It ends with Resurrection and a new 4,5 & 6 AND 2018, Kills & Ends, are apart of their own universe. Haha! Crazy...I know.
They are actually not related. He killed his only sister in the original, this is just a different timeline again. In 2018 they clear that up as well. Thanks for the reactions:)
This Movie Is Freaking awesome and The Ending Is a Amazing, But Halloween Resurrections Ruins This Movie So Much 😤 Anyways Glad You Guys are Back Reacting again.
Laurie was born 2 years old before Michael was committed when he was 6 so he was aware that he had a baby sister. Laurie was 17 in the original Halloween and Michael was 21.

Fan pops Halloween 3,4,5,6 does take place in the same continuity Season of the witch has the same cult of thorn including a Mrs.Blakenship who reappears in 6 after being mentioned there Halloween H20 20 years later can also fit in the same continuity as Halloween 1-6 since a pair of bloody scissors pops up in the newspaper clippings in the narration by Dr.Loomis meaning Jamie still exists
Paul Rudd is in both versions of Part 6 If you want a high body count one Watch the Regular one If you want a more store based one the Producers Cut is the way to go Maybe watch both and compare the two
Paul Rudd was in the sixth Halloween film, the one before this, Halloween: the Curse of Michael Myers, which is the last film in the first Halloween timeline. Curse of Michael Myers actually gives the reason for Michael's killing, and why it's on the night of Samhain (pronounced Sow-Win), or Halloween. When you watch H6 Curse of Michael Myers, I would suggest the Producer's Cut over the original theatrical cut. It makes so much more sense.
Neither of those two movies make any sense. Michael was made a puppet of the cult, which took a way the mystique of the character and the story aswell. Wish Halloween 5 would've been the end. Or gotten one more sequel setting up for Danielle Harris' last movie.

Idk if y’all noticed too , but the music is the same music from scream , being that Kevin Williamson the writer of scream also worked in this film.

Halloween 3,4,5,6 does take place in the same continuity
Season of the witch has the same cult of thorn including a Mrs.Blakenship who reappears in 6 after being mentioned there
Halloween H20 20 years later can also fit in the same continuity as Halloween 1-6 since a pair of bloody scissors pops up in the newspaper clippings in the narration by Dr.Loomis meaning Jamie still exists
Paul Rudd is in both versions of Part 6
If you want a high body count one Watch the Regular one
If you want a more store based one the Producers Cut is the way to go
Maybe watch both and compare the two
I'm still really hoping they go back for 4,5, and 6. 5 and 6 aren't great but they beat resurrection and ends and Jamie is awesome.
The Curse of Mikey myers is the best
