And the next avatar would even be born in one of the water tribes. The southern had pretty much no defense after all the men left and as we saw at the season 1 finale, the fire nation is capable of taking down the northern water tribe
@@chiefsupreme3482 it really wouldn't matter. The fire nation would have no reason to send an invasion to go kill the new baby water tribe avatar. The fire nation didn't invade the air nomads to kill the new avatar they invaded to find and the avatar. When they were unable to locate him they just killed the entire race as a backup plan. Keep in mind that the Fire Nation is a super strict, honor-based society. Zuko got banished simply for speaking out of place to a military superior. So what do you think would happen if he actively fights against his country? That'd be tantamount to the ultimate shame and permanent dishonor.
i like all the situations they get in where they have good benders like aang or whoever getting mixed by like highly skilled non benders. i really like the way they do that
Zuko really had some of *THE* best character development in media. Not just an animated show. Like you actually see the seeds of doubt get planted and grow over the course of the show. The man pulls a full 180 and you're there watching him turn every degree.
This episode is hella underrated. The atmosphere is so good, we have zhao giving us more reasons to hate him, the animation and choreography is clean, the music is intense, and I really like Aang going on his own little adventure.

One of the deepest episodes in the series man. The way iroh plays that instrument it’s so eerie too!! The soundtracks and animation in this series are so perfect lol
This episode is actually really dire when you think about it. Katara and Sokka are sick and likely wouldn't get better without the frogs, Aang gets captured while Team Avatar is at their absolute weakest and is kept in a Fire Nation fortress under Admiral Zhao. Like, were it not for Zuko, this would've been the end.
i feel like i've said this before but i love watching you guys react to this series so much! this show holds huge meaning in my life and seeing you guys enjoy it and finally get why everyone loves this show is just my favorite thing everrr
Easily my favorite episode of the season. That quiet, one-sided conversation in the woods when Zuko wakes is some of the best writing in animation I've seen, period.
I can't think of a better told, more subtle and more satisfying character arc than Zuko. This show is such a masterpiece. PS: Yelling "GET HIM OUT OF THERE" at 12:20, which was the lawful-good response to the situation WHILE wearing a Superman t-shirt. You're a good person, dude.
I think Zhao got his promotion for turning over the Fire Sages to his superiors as traitors - I assume he tactfully forgot to mention he also let the Avatar and the pariah prince slip through his fingers too.
One of the best episodes of the series. Zuko was willing to kill Aang rather than let him be captured. He’d rather take his chances traveling to the next nation in the cycle to hunt the next avatar than give up hope. This was when I knew this was not just an enjoyable “kid’s show” I was watching. One of my favorite scenes in the series is Aang letting Zuko know about Kuzon only to get fired on a moment later. And then Zuko looks all sad and contemplative, lol.
Imagine being a kid and then you get that last episode the storm and your like damn this crazy, my fav episode and then a week later they pull this out and your like bruh, my heart, Zuko, yes he about to join, and then he doesn't lol....
idk how but when I watched it I had the feeling it was Zuko because who else would break in there? Also when the first guard went to check what was going on fire was used in the direction where the masked man would be facing the guard which means the masked man uses fire (idk if that makes sense lol)
Also, concerning why aang didn't boost himself and zuko up the wall, it's because in order to bend an element, it requires certain movements with your arms or legs. So you'll notice some characters don't have time to use certain techniques to bend and are caught off guard.
crazy part abt this episode is...we still laughed. we still got some great action. and we have some new questions and hints towards where character development is gonna go. one of the best so far.

9:06 “i cut your chains off because i’m gonna capture you” irony
Always glad to see another reaction!!!
Thank you for sharing it with us :)
Easily my favorite episode of the season. That quiet, one-sided conversation in the woods when Zuko wakes is some of the best writing in animation I've seen, period.
"Nah... I cut your chains off because I'm here to capture you." best line lol
I love these reactions to this show way more than other reactors. It's like these guys are really into the show
I can't think of a better told, more subtle and more satisfying character arc than Zuko.
9:04 "NOOOO . . . I just cut your chains off cuz I'm here to capture you. . . ." OMG I spit out my drink lolol
I just love y'all reaction to this series, and how you're so invested in it! I'm gonna have to join your patreon now!😄
Imagine being a kid and then you get that last episode the storm and your like damn this crazy, my fav episode and then a week later they pull this out and your like bruh, my heart, Zuko, yes he about to join, and then he doesn't lol....
“He just put in their mouth while they were sleeping”
AYYYOOOO?
12:00 - 12:25 This may be my favorite episode reaction of all time. :)
idk how but when I watched it I had the feeling it was Zuko because who else would break in there? Also when the first guard went to check what was going on fire was used in the direction where the masked man would be facing the guard which means the masked man uses fire
(idk if that makes sense lol)
I know I was like that name Kuzon sounded so familiar haha yo I didn't notice but Zuko literally turned his back on the fire nation there 13:30
Seeing ya'll react to this is so damn fun I love this show soo damn good just gets even more fire.
You guys have been so on point with the theories btw
Sarcastic "NAAHHH I just cut your chains off bc I'm here to capture you." Turns out you weren't wrong xDD
They’re all the way up to season 3 my guy? And patreaon is only $10? Yeah. Gotta join now. Their reactions are top tier.
Also, concerning why aang didn't boost himself and zuko up the wall, it's because in order to bend an element, it requires certain movements with your arms or legs. So you'll notice some characters don't have time to use certain techniques to bend and are caught off guard.
People can hallucinate during illnesses. There's a poem about this called "Der Erlkönig", which got turned into a song by Franz Schubert. It's dark.
crazy part abt this episode is...we still laughed. we still got some great action. and we have some new questions and hints towards where character development is gonna go. one of the best so far.
