    I have the 2021 Calligraphy model and I'm impressed with the new updates every year. If you can wait a year or so, Hyundai will be completely remodeling the Palisade for the 2025 model year. It's a great SUV IMO. Ithink they will increase the fuel economy from what I read from the early rumors on the net.

      I have a 2020 Limited (top trim of this model year). Proud to say I was one of the first very few early adopters of this new vehicle. When I first saw it, I knew hyundai had something special. And now they seem to be everywhere, although not as common as let's say a toyota highlander.
      The only complaint I have about it is the lazy transmission. Unless put into "sport" mode, it's super unresponsive to input. I basically have to mash the gas for the car to recognize "oh i'm supposed to downshift and go". Putting it in sport mode fixes that, but i hate driving around in this mode around town.

      Bought a 24 calligraphy with beige interior and couldn’t wait for the 25 model year. In 5 years maybe i would consider trading it for a newer versions. It is the best and most quiet suv i have owned so far. Very impressed!

      @@ChristianC-gy1ym yeah, I agree the transmission is not great. I love to really drive the car lol. I’m really considering buying an X5 for that very reason; the great driving of BMW’s.

    My mom has a 2022 calligraphy as her grandkid hauler. Her daily driver is a MB s class. I’m amazed at how nice this car is for half the price. My favorite parts about the palisade are the naturally aspirated v6 and how spacious it, yet maneuverable it is.

  • @MKS8619
    @MKS8619 Год назад +2

    I love my 2023 Palisade Calligraphy, and unlike others I am okay with not having power folding mirrors or wireless carplay/AA, but I do wish it had a tighter turning radius or rear wheel steering for better tight space maneuverability.
    Something else worth mentioning is that the "Sounds of Nature" feature has evolved quite a bit via OTA updates since when it first came out and I find it genuinely calming and enjoyable now.

    Well… I’m glad I’m not the only one who wishes this came in a hybrid (or plug-in hybrid) option. Hyundai makes some great hybrids and plug-in hybrids, this should be one of them.

    A recent comment by one of Hyundai's executives revealed a BIG update to the upcoming palisade. As radical of a change as the santa fe, is what they stated. Really excited to see what they will do. Hoping earnestly that they have a PHEV option... but let's just say I'm not holding my breath.

But There are still some issues with engines and transmissions however. Ask anyone who works on vehicles they see more Hyundai and Kia’s in for major issues then Honda and Toyota. It seems most people have either major issues or none at all. I know several people whose Hyundais didn’t make it to 160,000 kms (100,000 miles) but I also know someone with 300,000 kms. @Jonathan-mp32x and who told you that some company who gets paid to do reviews? try looking on some fb forums- the new engines are just as bad as the old ones. and the so-called best warranty is bs 2! the company finds any little way to squeeze out of replacing a crap engine! I saw a 2022 palisade the other day (had to use Carvana to see how old it was) it was already burning oil! lol yup good engines. the Hyundai dealership where i live has so many replacement engines they have to stick them outside!

    Folks. Keep in mind these Hyundai’s are having engine oil consumption issues. Do more research beyond feature videos like this. Don’t get me wrong, this family does an awesome job but do more research on reliability. There are plenty of videos on RUclips that shows what I’m talking about. I like my palisade but very disappointed with this use and what Hyundai makes you go through to figure out if they will give you a new motor or not. 😮

    • @bpaulm
      @bpaulm 10 месяцев назад

      Was the Palisade v6 impacted? I generally thought the 4-cyl were the issue... This engine was not listed in class action.

    • @nachoseventen
      @nachoseventen 10 месяцев назад +1

      Form what I hear, lots of model and engine sizes are impacted. I’m taking mine in today for the sixth time for them to do bull crap inspections, they are vague o what they are doing but if the motor is loosing multiple quarts of oil between services.. then there are some major problems. Hyundai is going as far as to send customers emails explaining how customers should frequently change and add oil as needed. Think about that, how many folks, men or women are comfortable doing this? I recently took a 2k mile trip, I lost 3 quarts of oil. Look further and there are plenty of people having this issue. Should have bought a Honda 😢
