    I had a lovely 105 coupe and various Alfettas but the spider will always be the teenage dream that ‘got away’.

      @@sebastianf7177 Unfortunately not. The car that I was looking at was for sale in central France and turned out to be a bit of a 'hotchpotch' of a car that had been converted from LHD to right hand but hadn't had 100% of a job done on it. In the end, I bought a 1987 S3 Lotus Esprit from a dealer in Essex. A very different car but good fun.

      @@damientaylor1 RHD to LHD!!!, what a crime. On the other hand, with only 350ish RHD Duettos ever built he just made my '66 RHD even rarer.

    Nice review - thanks. The only thing I'd offer is to use more light and get the camera in closer. Sometimes you were pointing out items that were in shadow and hard to see. Still, loads of good advice!

    Good review. Great little car. Owned a 2000 spider '73 for eleven years. Learned much. Alfa Romeo Owners Club of San Diego CA was a good source for info. Only tow was due to a lever broke that activated the clutch which I found at scrap yard. Alfa's are great cars but they do require patience at times. Viva Alfa Romeo!

    So the hood is the bonnet and the roof is the hood? The trunk is the boot and fender is the wing. Well, the whole car is beautiful in any language. Informative vid.

    @ John Mayhead. Does the VIN number has to be stamped on the bulk head? Asking as I own a spider veloce and the VIN is on a plate (pop rivoted to the bulk head). Thank you for your expertise and guidance

    I would love owning one of these cars but the maintenance on these cars in the states are terribly expensive.

    My Gawd! Blue exterior with a Red interior. How could that be possible? Why are you calling this Spider a Giulia?

    • @checker3694
      @checker3694 4 года назад

      All 105,s are Giulias saloon,coupe, and spiders. Red or burgundy is not uncommon, I had a silver 82 with burgundy interior. South Africa was only country outside of Italy that Alfa’s were built.

    So sad that nearly all of the South African Alfas of that era - many were sold here - are now overseas and mostly in the UK. What a loss for SA fans.

      They really are maintenance needy and its not a simple thing. I could have bought an extra house with what I spent on them between 1977 and 1989. They have the feedback of a sportsbike.
