I take both these guys for granted. They've been famous for most of my life. It's nice to hear them reminisce about when they were starting out. You have to respect their work ethic.

Agreed!
There is so much to like about Jay's videos. Comedy, car history, comic history, amazing guests, little known stories of people and places, classic jokes and timed jabs, heartaches of failure and striving and joy of success. In each video a saga of life. Cars are just the hook, the real jewels are two people and life, love and happiness.
You gets it.
How ELOQUENT!!!! 🏆
Perfect comment
I'm not going to tell Jay you said that- he has had a phenomenally successful career, telling jokes and interviewing people and now the cars. But the rest of that long list of bits and pieces has always been part of Jay's repertoire. He has always made people think, and not always the way they thought they would. Look at his Tonight Show guest lists- a lot of those folks wouldn't ever appear with some of his other guests on any other stage in America- and that was a big part of Johnny Carson's advice to give the show to Jay. FR
@@fredericrike5974 They say Jay was no Johnny.. But I think Johnny would say politely, "Well, I hope not. He's going to be himself and that will be just fine.". Johnny was right. Jay carries on the elegant tradition of polite humor Johnny epitomized. It makes me wonder what Johnny might have transitioned to eventually after leaving the tonight show.
Arnie, Billy Crystal, and Muhammad Ali walk into a bar...
and Jay the bartender says...
Two of the nicest, most-talented guys in show biz talking about Muhammad Ali and the good old days - I would watch this all day. :) Thanks, guys!

Two classy guys, friends, and great entertainers. Just fun to watch.
Yes!
Jay Billy. 4 ever!
Billy Crystal is such a great storyteller. That video is the best.
Yeah, I kinda wished they could have found a way to make more talk time. I bet they could tell some stories.

Keep your friend R away from me. He suckered me in again today. Hes a sick person.
He used his woman voice on me.
I like you two. Im a Reiki Master. I am not willing to have Rs toxic sickness put into me.
Muhammad Ali mixed with Don Corleone. GENIUS. 🤣 You just can't FIND humor like this anymore (unless you go to the greats, like Jay and Billy).
Billy is such a cool guy! Very down to earth and funny as heck.
That one clip in the beginning- does anyone remember "jou luh mahverlous!"
Imagine going to get a burger and Ali is in the parking lot tossing out burgers then Billy Crystal pulls up. Best McD’s trip ever.
Yeah I would think someone spiked my drink with acid .
I used to feel guilty going to McDonald’s and eating their food, but now that I know The Champ went there I feel better.
@@robertdragoff6909 I use McD occasionally....when I need a dump.
Who remembers Soap? I always think of that show when Billy comes on.
I actually have the theme song running in my head.Dammit.Loved the show, and still like Mr.Crystal too.
Did watched,,because of the character Mona
Great show!
While this clip was playing I was wondering if there was a way to watch all episodes of Soap. I am going to look it up. That was a great show.
I mostly watched it for Billy Crystal he seemed normal compared to the rest of the characters and as sharp as a wipp.
two of the greats riding around talking about "The Great One " . Priceless
lt's always good to see Billy Crystal & Jay ......Thanks Guy's
I love how Jay Leno can stay so humble true car guy and just a great guy really kool. Thanks Jay and Billy Crystal loved you in Princess Bride
A supervisor mine who lived & loved these Italian moving sculptures used to say that one had to learn to love the ‘Check Engine’ light on the dash go on about a year in after buying an Alfa. Mechanix would say to perplexed new owners “ Check Engine means ‘I turn off Engine light if you give me a check’ “! 🍝
“Circus Bear...” I literally LOL and choked on my drink. Great stuff. Can you imagine being friends with Ali?
LOVE YOU ALL!!! Rest Well Mr. ALI.......
Watch BC's eulogy of Ali on RUclips. Classic humor and friendship of two unlikely brothers
Oh I gotta check that out asap
Bill Crystal, you look you marvelous in that 1976 Alfa Romeo Spider.
'RooC Mavahlois"!
mah-wel-ous
@@johna1160 "You rook ma-hva-lous".
Billy Krystal, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Muhammad Ali walk in a bar, and Ali starts doing a magic trick..... the beginning of a thousand jokes!
hahahahah
I had a 1972 Spider in the same colour. Bumpers were chrome rather than black rubber.
Loved that car, drove it daily. Had to keep the maintenance up though. They fall out of tune quickly if you just commute with them.
Thank you for posting this video.
The audio recording is outstanding. No wind buffering at all. Very well done.
Thirty some years ago in Canada, Rolls Royce dealers had a promo that went something like: "Buy a Rolls Royce for you and get a free Alfa for your wife!". Maybe that's how Ali got his Alfa?
I thought you were like
alfa = man
Buy a rolls for you & get a driver for ur wife😅😂😂😂
that is interesting
Two of the nicest guys in show business.
6:35 Billy forgot how cold it is in a convertible on cool day.
Jay should do an encyclopedia of Comedy, because he's had contact with all the greats old and new and the stories are priceless
That was the best interview ever on JL's Garage. Does that make me old???
This video was a real gem. We really enjoyed it!
Thank you guys
Wow that history got real for a min. 2 guys who deserve where they're at.
Another stellar vid from 2 greats.
I didn't realize Billy was his first guest and also on the last show of the Jay Leno version of the Tonight Show.
Always a pleasure watching your show, Jay!
That Alfa was so much fun to drive. This brings back memories. It's funny thinking about The Greatest driving one.
frankly I'll take this over most of the seinfeld "cars/coffee" videos, although some of those were great too. I met leno backstage about a year after he first took over the Tonight Show and he couldn't have been more gracious to two fan nobodies who wanted to say hi when he just wanted to go home, even showed off his car in the parking lot (a Ferrari if I recall correctly). thanks Jay!
Who knew float like a butterfly and sting like a bee drove around in a spyder.
That's clever. Good joke.
good one!
I just got where the ALIBEE2 license plate came from!
I did not!
What a hoot . two great comedy icons together....just a treasure to find this.
It's interesting seeing peers talk to each other.... Billy is one of the greatest stage performers in American History....
If you can set aside a few minutes and watch Billy speak at Muhammad Ali's memorial, that's when you can appreciate how masterful he is at pea- level of stage presence
What a great video, way too short. I could of listen all night.
I'm sure this was a good day, with fun and laughs. Thanks for sharing.
Man, they have great chemistry. This was a joy to watch!
Jay Leno is a very likeable guy and gets along quite easily with most everybody.
Billy: I love you Jay. I love it's Ali's car and an oppurtunity to talk about our lives but man, I'm freezing.
I think Billy is one of the best people to ever be in show business. A wonderful human being, loved his films, and his comedy.
Man I miss good ol days !
So good to watch these two talk. Good stuff indeed.
Two Stand-up Guys, there………..Ya’ see what I did there😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well done, Jay Leno you have a great job..
A goomba and a mench . Doesn't get any better
Yes!
I am digging Jay Leno's hair!!!
Great video! Actually learned a lot about Ali!
Great episode!
“He’d look like a Circus Bear driving this car”
Wow. I'm a big fan of Billy. Thanks.
Nice video and I love that you’re getting nostalgic Jay
I've noticed that my nostalgia is in direct proportion to my age. I'm pretty nostalgic.
Excellent video, very entertaining
Billy crystal is funny good stuff 👍🏾
Love your show!
Billy snorted at the circus bear comment
The ability to come up with comedy spontaneously like Leno does comes from so many years of creative genius and practice.
Thanks Jay !!!
I always love watching these vids and thinking “those peeps on the road have no idea who they’re driving next to”
I love this program just a shame we only got a few programs in the UK and not all of them. Really want to see them all.
can you get Jay's channel on ytube?
Awesome episode 👍
Just classic ... Both legends but Billy crystal is something special...
If they went to get a cup of coffee, Seinfeld would yell, "that was my idea"!
Beautiful car
Amazing story
Awesome 👏🏽
His brother was my art teach in 7 grade. What a lovely man.
Billy's eulogy to dear Ali was so beautiful thank you Billy, for being you.
Ok kids, BILLY CRYSTAL is the voice of MIke, the eyeball monster in Monsters INC. ,best friend of Sullivan (Sully)
My favorite episode YET!!!!!!! Hellloooooooo
So Legendary!!!!
Two of the best. The car is nice too.
This needed to be a lot longer...only 7 minutes with Billy C?
billy looked like he was a bit chilly. maybe should have stopped at a coffee shop and talked a while.
LOL
Touching segment!
Scared me to death, when he held that certificate up. Imagine if it had blown out of his hands.
I was thinking the same thing.
@@joeyb4ever same here
If that happened, they’d have to xerox another copy.
Ditto
Im pretty sure that was a copy. You don't keep the original of that kind of document.
The Original Greatest Of All Time.
I cracked up, barely could catch my breath when Billy started to imitate Arnold!
I love Ali even more cause he had a Alfa Romeo
city slickers was hilarious ... love both these dudes
Two wonderful men. What a fun clip😎
Jay ,great stories about Freddie Prince Billy Crystal and yourself of course....
Great video. As a 16 year old, I loved roadsters. But my dad made me take every car for inspection from his friend Lou Baca, who owned a Chevron station. I took a Datsun 1800 roadster, MGB, Triumph Spitfire, TR6...Lou said No...finally said yes to a 1964 1/2 Mustang straight 6 with 3 speed manual. Had that car at least 15 years (lots of other cars, but kept the Mustang). At 18 almost sealed the deal on a 1980 Alfa Roadster, they wanted to charge me for special wheels, so I asked for the wheels that were included in price so I could sell them. No deal. last 2 cars I’ve owned...Porsche Boxsters. Finally have a roadster! 2 of them.
love this
Two great comics and great guys too!
Fantastic 👍🏻
I love how jay is so down to earth and all his friends are the same . He seems to ground them aswell glad he doesn't have all these talentless wasters on with him
You sound pretty arrogant and ignorant. Good going. List the bad people, thanks.
Thanks Jay
I love Billy, oh yeah, you too Jay. Great stories.
That was so nice of you Jay. That was probably Billy’s first time not riding in a car he lived in since “City Slickers.”
Old Alfa Romeo Spider's ALWAYS attract the biggest Hollywood stars and celebrities........
Cool car, crazy how much it resembles a triumph spitfire of same era, very cool!!
Giovanni Michelotti designed the Spitfire, GT6 and other cools cars. He worked at farina too, who did the Alfa. A lot of the cars from that era and factory/designers share some similar features.
@@jazziejeffie I understand that, good knowledge by the way, thank you
@@alansmith7833 Thumbing endlessly through car magazines until you were caught by the shop keeper was a bad childhood habit of mine! Tony Curtis's Ferrari Dino was my favorite Farina TV car.
What....Billy from Boston and Jay😊 my Ma brothers. Met Ali at the Sugar Ray retirement. I went on to the floor jumped on chairs and walked along side of him. He was a big man don't know how he could drive that car. He must have bent his knees to fit in. Great Show😃
This is great
My favorite Billy Crystal movie is Running Scared, came out in 1986
Billy Crystal's funny ... he's, he's fun.
How cool, to be friends with ALI???
Two of the classiest guys in comedy.
Billy's WTF face at 7:10 should be a meme
I love to hear how it was before they made it big. Great stories.
Ali didn't have to hitchhike - Arnold knows the way to Bakersfield.
