Whoopi such a great friend too. I get so many tears thinking about how close all three were. The tribute they did on The View was just heart wrenching.
That tribute is still gut-wrenching to watch. Say what you want about Whoopi's politics, but for the nine minutes of that video, you are not watching Whoopi. You are watching Caryn being helped by her friend William as she tries to pick up the ten million pieces of her shattered heart.
@@johndybala8580 I will happily say about Whoopo's politics. She became an awful awful person and I wouldn't be surprised if she's on the Diddy list. I don't know how she can be having the time of her life, having unforgettable times with Robin and Crystal only to become the thing she is now.

Nowadays, cant throw a good legit funny joke without someone saying it to be racist... sad that media and some people had succeeded drawing that line of racism for everything.
@Alexander Supertramp Very good point. And well said. Why anyone feels the need to whine about "remember when we used to have a sense of humor?" It's usually obnoxious Trump loving Republicans who want to roll back the political correctness clock. Sure, maybe some of the political correctness police are overdoing it in some places, but really? If you don't find this stuff funny? Just don't watch. And just stop whining about political correctness, Republicans. It's a really tired, really old song, and you wore out that record eons ago. Some aspects of political correctness are necessary, because, unfortunately, there are racists, white supremacists, misogynists and sexists, religious zealots, and homophobes out there, amongst others, who think that saying all kinds of vile shit is perfectly fine and covered by the first amendment. It's not, but people are entitled to their opinions. I'm entitled to not like your opinion, if I find it offensive. It's not about us not having a sense of humor anymore, because most of us do still have one. It's more about just not being an asshole to any of your fellow human beings. And whining about political correctness is tantamount to saying: "I used to be able to say whatever vile racist, sexist, homophobic, etc., shit I wanted to say, and could be an obnoxious asshole to everybody, and now I can't be." Waaah. Shut up.
@@marshawargo7238 See my reply to Alexander Supertramp. But seriously? The whole sticks and stones defense doesn't exactly cut it when people start calling other people foul shit, using the "n" word or any other similar hate speech. You are entitled to *your opinion* under the first amendment. Calling someone a vile name isn't "your opinion". It's just hateful and wrong. Call 'em an asshole. Or an asshat. Or a jackhole. Whatever. "I think you're being an asshole" would be your opinion. That's protected speech. Otherwise? It's not.
When Robin died so many of his friends and acting partners sent out their messages, usually over Twitter or other social media. I think Billy managed to express his sadness with the most dignity and respect just by saying 'No words.'
In the tribute he did with Whoopi, he said that they would routinely call each other on the phone and, as Billy put it, "we were on the phone for hours and never talked as ourselves." The Leno clip is one of those times when you are given a peek into that part of their friendship.

Words cannot describe how much I miss and feel sad about Robin Williams. I'm serious, if I had a time machine one of the first things I would do is try to help him
"This is so much cheaper than therapy." - hahahaha. Laughter is therapy! :)
Leigh Ann ...Yes, Yes Leigh Ann. It truly is the exact damn Best medicine AND most effective therapy known to man-womanKind. God bless us all. Absolutely. Now, my good Rx of 22yrs certainly do their fine chemistry magic of mostly helping the very job of keeping the calm status quo for me. But humorous talents I've had in front of me, All of them, work wonders on me, on everyone's Need for a big, crazy shot of Endorphins to transform our brains/bodies/moods et al, to a much Better place, a productive place, a Loving Place. Yes, Laughter is a great and safe way to empowering one that's hurting. It's the perfect "tool" to aid in fixing broken folks.
Laughter is the best medicine
I keep coming back to this....it's so perfect.
His comedy was better than any medication! He was loved and is missed! But he will live on way after us and bring joy to our future generations!!
Thanks u tube for thes laughs I had today because of your video!
Not many can hold their own with Robin Williams. Billy Crystal is amazing in that respect...
Robin was a terrific actor, among the finest mature actors that EVER PERFORMED.....
Seeing them together for so many clips and then seeing that one clip of Billy by himself talking about their relationship in the pastense... :( They had such an amazing iconic friendship :)
The chemistry between these two was amazingIt would be really cool if I had a good friend like that I’m telling you everybody should have a friend like that
Mighty Matthew especially in the segment were Robin is behind Billy talking for him. Wow!
This is the power of great improv work between them while one is on another level - the power of art acceptance and love
Thank goodness for our ability to still watch Robin, I will never get enough of this genius.
this is so good! i love this! He was something else, nothing compares.
“A reverse Oreo” I SCREAMED laughing at that!
Robin had the most incredible energy, with a brain that was just spitting out information faster than most people think....and then there's Billy. His ability to point Robin's energy/control it was truly amazing to watch. He just understood his comedy and how to make it flourish. RIP Robin
Lost me Dad, I was 14 years old, Suicide.
Lost me Mum, I was 21 years old, Suicide.
People remark, on hearing this..."Oh, How Terrible for you"
...but.................................................... not as terrible for them.
Keep an eye on your mates around you, extend a hand, a heart.
Not sure what else, but let 'em know that you care.
I miss 'em both to bits.
oh, I am now 68, been there myself, the doubt, the despair, ....!
Aubreyaub,I'm concerned for you. Do you have children and/or siblings,a partner who is there for you? I care.
There are never any easy answers, but if you waver please consider that there are those of us who care, regardless of distance.
As you say, extend a hand.. a heart..
❤️
Were there any warning signs with either suicide that now you can see were obvious with mom or dad?
I'm sorry this happened to you.
aubreyaub I too have been where you are. You are never the same when this happens. family is never the same. i am sorry for your pain. you can harness this experience and love people through their sorrow. i do this.
I'm SO glad they had each other as BEST friends 🧡 you KNOW the way they played off each other... God bless them both....I'm SO glad/thankful they have the clip from Friends on here also.
So greatly missed. One of a kind. RIP Sir Robyn!
Robin you will be missed for ever ,RIP
These two were very close, and best friends, and I love them both. I wish that I could have been best friends with both of them.
Touching to hear Billy talk about him in the past 😢
@@kelp7060I hope you didn't hurt yourself ducking down far enough for the point of my comment to fly over your head.
We miss you so much, Robin Williams. My God, you & Billy Crystal were like Martin & Lewis. 😄😅😅
Cried at the end. Oh Robin. You were so loved.
Simply the best. I've got to add, the funniest thing Robin ever did was Elmer Fudd sings Bruce Springsteen..... ''When we kiss Fi wa....''
Billy Crystal is also a comic genius. He's very witty. I love 'When Harry met Sally'.
Good comp. Any sourpuss that goes thumbs down on these two doesn't know how to laugh. These two are pure comedy gold.
GENIUS, PLAIN & SIMPLE .......One of the most creative minds in entertainment history, along with Richard Pryor and George Carlin, the TRINITY of modern comedy ! !
David Smith. No one was close he would have to slow down so the people can keep up. Just the best by far
Love Robin! He can't be gone! I love them together! Billy and Robin!!!
that jay leno footage in the crazy suit is amazing. great group of clips. thank for the laugh
I'm tearing up! They are so good! Amazing. I love you Robin W.! Whoopie & Billy you are all The Greatest! Thank you! :)
The Jewish Kung Fu movie bit is freaking sweet , cracks me up everytime. Thanks for this for some reason this part is cut out of many of the Comic Relief 5 vids.
"A reverse Oreo".
Oh lord. Remember when we had a sense of humour?
Nowadays, cant throw a good legit funny joke without someone saying it to be racist... sad that media and some people had succeeded drawing that line of racism for everything.
@@clintbeamquillope3123 Indeed.
it used to be Sticks and Stones can break my bones... and now it's words will get me sued or ostracized
@Alexander Supertramp
Very good point.
And well said.
Why anyone feels the need to whine about "remember when we used to have a sense of humor?"
It's usually obnoxious Trump loving Republicans who want to roll back the political correctness clock.
And whining about political correctness is tantamount to saying:
"I used to be able to say whatever vile racist, sexist, homophobic, etc., shit I wanted to say, and could be an obnoxious asshole to everybody, and now I can't be."
Waaah.
Shut up.
@@marshawargo7238
See my reply to Alexander Supertramp.
Otherwise?
It's not.
I feel better after watching this.
he must be the best ad lib artist of all time.
Not only is he keeping up with Robin, which is an achievement in itself, but he does it seemless.
Thank you for this wonderful and hilarious compilation
When Robin died so many of his friends and acting partners sent out their messages, usually over Twitter or other social media. I think Billy managed to express his sadness with the most dignity and respect just by saying 'No words.'
I love how they riff of each other. Billy would let Robin loose, let him crazy it up a bit and then play off anything that came at him brilliantly.
In the tribute he did with Whoopi, he said that they would routinely call each other on the phone and, as Billy put it, "we were on the phone for hours and never talked as ourselves." The Leno clip is one of those times when you are given a peek into that part of their friendship.
