OK, favorite part - JJ throws Roy under the bus about his Haaland comment, and then just sits back and watched the chaos for five minutes!! It was like everyone had forgotten JJ was there at that point!! Loved all of it, but that was good.

He seems like the kind of guy that you’d want to be really rich. Very humble, very selfless, a really good guy. It just sucks that all the good owners in England are at the small clubs and all the criminals and serial killers are in charge of the big ones.
So glad JJ came on here. Shows that some of us Americans do love the sport of English football and there is no reason to hate on one another from across the pond. My grandmother was English so I always loved the culture. I also understand why some people may hate on us, but they gotta understand the stuff you see on tv and movies is versions of American people turned up to a 100. A lot of us are actually humble people just trying to make the best of the situation we are in and be happy.

I had no idea about NFL about 10 years ago… Stumbled on a NFL show called Hard Knocks and was fascinated by the game. The tactical side especially and by coincidence it was the Houston Texans season and it was brilliant. They became my team (from England) and JJ Watt was an absolute beast and elite athlete… Brilliant episode this!
Same thing happened in the US with Welcome to Wrexham. You understand the story lines, suddenly the sport becomes riveting. Sport doesn't become exciting in a vacuum. You have to have context.

He’s such a good person , the amount of work he put into the Houston area is massive , and when you guys had that hurricane a few years back and they raised almost 40 million to build all those people their houses (1200 or so) An amazing pro , but an even better human. Such a good role model for young athletes of any sport

For those that don't know the NFL, it's actually fascinating. When it's seems like nothing is happening they're actually setting up formations and play routes. It's literally chess with people and a ball. Give it a try. Any given Sunday anyone can win unlike our football where 90% money talks. Week in week out there are last second wins with Hail Marys and all guns blazing plays. Awesome.

As an American, I got into the Premier League a couple years ago after having resisted "soccer" for my whole life. I'm hooked. You can enjoy a new sport without abandoning the sports you already like. Just add the new one to your rotation. The key to getting into a new sport is to pick a team. It's hard to get into a new sport if you just watch it generally with no dog in the fight. You gotta pick a team that will get you emotionally invested, and everything else will fall into place.
Haven't missed an episode of this show yet and this by far my favorite, cannot pinpoint why but the crossover between the two polar opposites paired with J.J being such a great speaker and guest makes it so infatuating
He means in a squad environment. Pretty sure he's talking about around fellow professionals you knuckle down & iron out any problem areas. Roy is a funny bloke & I'm sure still had a laugh with family away from footballing matters.
I’ve kept up with the NFL for the better part of 10 years now. Have seen JJ play in his prime and he was without a doubt the greatest pass rusher of this era (if not all time). He made mincemeat of even the best Olinemen in the league. And here he is in England, invested in a Premier League club and displaying a level of humility and class most of us would do well to achieve. Clearly a very intelligent man with a passion for sport and also incredibly entertaining, engaging and interesting. What a guy.

I’m just getting into European football again (I got to see drogba and people like that) and listening to dudes like Wrighty, Keane, Henry, and even Rio Ferdinand is honestly so good for soaking up knowledge of the game, I’m glad JJ can do the same w our version of football!

Haven't missed an episode of this show yet and this by far my favorite, cannot pinpoint why but the crossover between the two polar opposites paired with J.J being such a great speaker and guest makes it so infatuating

I’ve kept up with the NFL for the better part of 10 years now. Have seen JJ play in his prime and he was without a doubt the greatest pass rusher of this era (if not all time). He made mincemeat of even the best Olinemen in the league. And here he is in England, invested in a Premier League club and displaying a level of humility and class most of us would do well to achieve. Clearly a very intelligent man with a passion for sport and also incredibly entertaining, engaging and interesting. What a guy.

Never heard of this fella before & never really been into the nfl, however it’s greet to hear him talk about his experience in his own sport & compare it to a sport that I’ve always played, very interesting & seems like a great guy too. Brilliant episode

I’m just getting into European football again (I got to see drogba and people like that) and listening to dudes like Wrighty, Keane, Henry, and even Rio Ferdinand is honestly so good for soaking up knowledge of the game, I’m glad JJ can do the same w our version of football!
