- In this video we show you a VL Commodore recently completed with a simple false wall boot install made to mimic the interior of the vehicle ( specifically the door cards).
The owner wanted to keep the factory radio while having the ability to easily have bluetooth audio available without adding a secondary hidden head unit or something difficult to adjust.
A Wavetech Link4 is used as a line output converter from the factory head unit to allow for RCA output to the amplifiers.
The control know acts as a bass level controller when in standard line output mode so the factory radio can be used as volume control like normal with the added bonus of being able to adjust bass easily and quickly. At the push of a button the audio can be switched to bluetooth audio streaming making use of the aux input on the Link4. From here the control knob now adjusts bluetooth volume on the fly and by holding the control knob in you can now switch the control know to just bass only level all through the same 1 control knob!

I'd love a set up like this. No subs but rear factory speakers replaced.
Really nice work mate. When my vl turbo is ready to go back on the road I'll have to give you a call and make a booking. Where abouts are you located mate?
Thanks!
My shop's in Ballarat Victoria :)
Hey mate Whats your guys overall opinion on the Hertz’s shown in video vs something along the lines of the sony or pioneer 210W 4” equivalents
Hey, id prefer hertz anyday over pioneer or sony. 4" speakers aren't a great comparison for sound quality but as a brand as a whole that is a no brainer question. My go to brands are Morel, Hertz and Eton for speakers
Ik it is probably a stupid question but how do you remove the dashboard speaker covers
The air vents clip in so you have to remove the air vents first by prying the tabs gently to take the actual vents themselves out (the pieces that move to direct the air) the top one is removed by prying the sides gently and the bottom is removed by prying the top.
Once you do that you unscrew the air vent surround through where the bottom air vent was up through where the too air vent was there's 2 screws that holds the surround into the dash as well as the speaker cover once they're removed then the cover can come out
how much would a subwoofer install be for a vz commodore?
Prices vary greatly on equipment used, type of install etc anywhere from around 1k +
How much is something like that?? For the full install thanks
It really depends on what you are wanting. What you have or don't have to supply and what you want supplied.
For this exact setup in this exact car and a similar type of false wall with customer supplying amps and subs you'd be looking around the 2-3k mark
If you need equipment supplied then depends on what equipment you want and the cost of it.
We sell speakers ranging from $50 to $8700 a pair and same goes with subs amps etc then you have extras to make things sound better like DSPs, sound deadening the list just goes on and on.
@@D2iAuto do you have a website mate?

How much would it cost to rear bag a vz vy
Rear vt-vz bag kits start at $2700 supplied and fitted and go up from there
@@D2iAuto 👌cheers
How much was a Bluetooth unit
The Bluetooth module itself is around $100 or so there are various Bluetooth to RCA adaptors that would work with this setup
