that all looked great fun John. The first time I ever saw sargent majors was in egypt I was snorkelling watching a pair of cuttle fish, a huge shoal swam behind me without me knowing and started pecking at my legs, It frightened the living daylight out of me for a few seconds 🤣

Will we see another video before you have to head home? I enjoy all your videos but these ones do make a nice change, you should do another night session while your there if you have time, that one with the shark n moray eel was a good one 👍
The best live bait is "white bait" pogies, greenbacks, spanish sardines, finger mullet and the like. You need a cast net. Never seen one that big but it looks like a mojara. Sand perch look like that but are vegetarians and also taller from pectoral to dorsal. My experience, tides do not matter really...you were catching fish. You need to know where the fish are and what they are eating. Rarely will you catch keeper size although the occasional barracuda, snook, tarpon or shark. I can tell you were just having fun because 1. you would not be using "scratch" lines, 2. you would be holding your rod, so as not to miss the big strikes 3. you would only be tending one rod. That was still a Lane, the spot is too big/pronounced and not pink enough on the dorsal area for a mutton. Nice underwater shots. In season those crawfish (FL lobster) won't be there but interesting to know, 30 years ago they were too scarce to populate areas like that at any time of year.
Hi John, another great video. Thanks! I will probably visit Florida in October Is it worth it to bring my gear there or buy it from local shops Thanks Vladimir
I think that Silver Fish was a Yellowfin Mojarra, had them about 500mt from where you are in January, also had Irish Pompano (irish Mojarra) in the same spot, identical, but without the stripes, and those wrasse are well named as Slippery Dicks 😆

I shall.
You should make a detour to my neighborhood at the Jersey shore for some good summer flounder action now right off the surf.
Can you please send me a PM to the Fishlocker Fb page so I can get some more info from you. I will try and organise that into a trip. 👍🏻
If I squint it reminds me of my local down near Weymouth. Maybe not as warm and less fish 😂
🤣
Hi pretty new to your channel, love your Vidoes, is your job angling? You seem to be in Florida all the time... Must be amazing 👍
I am an engineer. We have been to Florida twice.
It was still a good day. 🇺🇸
I agree.
Hi good fish mate
Thanks Riley. 😊
Great vid John, will you be going offshore this trip ,hope little guy is having fun on his hols
We are all having a wonderful time. 😊
Lovely session you definitely won't be complaining about catching the Same thing over n over, shame that barracuda didn't take a bait, always next time 💯👌🇮🇲🎣
No mate, there was so many species to catch you’ll never get bored
Again, great info. Thanks. 👍🏻
You know the record for Lanes is a little over 8 pounds and I don't even know about Muttons but I have seen over thirty pounders.
hi John! I hope you and James were able to do some geo-casheing while you are here in the states!
We did look for them but they were few and far between in the areas we visited.
@@TheFishLocker that happens sometimes. I will ask my friend what website they use and forward the info😊
Hi John, another great video. Thanks! I will probably visit Florida in October
Is it worth it to bring my gear there or buy it from local shops
Thanks Vladimir
I brought my own rods and reels etc but bought bait and some odd bits from the shops here.
I think that Silver Fish was a Yellowfin Mojarra, had them about 500mt from where you are in January, also had Irish Pompano (irish Mojarra) in the same spot, identical, but without the stripes, and those wrasse are well named as Slippery Dicks 😆
Slippery AF aren’t they. 🤣🤣
