This night and 11-20-01 are the best shows played by any band at any time. I wasn’t at this show but it’s my favorite Panic show. So glad it was filmed in its entirety. I talked to a buddy about this night-he was there-not too long ago and he said, “every single person in that place was a professional drug addict that night.” “BE RIGHT BACK!”-JB

Went to all Halloween shows in NOLA from 97-01. In 97 I remember JB dressed as Ignatius J. Reilly, the protagonist of the novel A Confederacy Of Dunces. NOLA + Panic + Halloween = absolute magic!!
Greatest Panic run ever. I was there and will never forget these three shows. We could get the floor at UNO bouncing up and down every night. Panic transported that whole scene to another dimension with that arena. It became a spacecraft for interdimensional travel.
I remember watching UNO (the venue itself) BREATHING...like a heaving bosom, like a stalking lion, literally swelling and contracting with vibrating human energy. I've been to many sold out packed venues but never seen/felt that phenomenon before or since this run. I pointed it out to my friends and it was palpable. There was so much soul shakin life it was seeping into the concrete and brought the structure itself to life like Dr. Frankenstein's Monster. Thus was the power of Panic and the People in this time and in this place. This NOLA run was just a "had to be there" type of snapshot in time. The rainbow pyramid paper going around was the dominant vibe. Lets go back and do it all again...exactly the same.
Nailed it! We were on the floor, felt like the whole audience was one. big, electric breathing machine. And when Schools dropped those bass lines it reverberated my soul!
99 Parson’s I’ll never forget going to the bathroom and I swear there was gravel falling down from the shaking. For a slit second sitting in the portal I was a bit worried
WoW....this doesn’t feel like 20 years ago!!! But, it does......! What an amazing time for Panic. Every single night was an absolute barn-burner! This band truly owned my soul at this point in time. So so good! RIP Mikey!
These and all the UNO shows were such a good time. Panic always brought it to New Orleans. And they're still killin' it whenever I get to step away from a busier life and catch a show. Clearly not the same vibe these days, but still a hell of a good time every time they roll through. Thanks for posting this. Hell of a show.

Google is The 666 Beast you have certaintly been around! myself, I'm 25, so i came in the scene late, and as i love all kinds of music, at heart I'm a panic fan. phish is awesome, for sure. the dead is the back bone of it all, and i loved seeing furthur, have an awesome local dead cover band (forgotten space, dallas, tx. check em out if possible) that i see often. its all good tunes. good times, good tunes, good people!
HAHA I love live music, the GD is amazing and I like a lot of the cover bands. We have one that plays around my city - greensboro NC - called Cosmic Charlie, they may be a national band I'm not sure, they are fun to see live. That music is so timeless, once a person catches the vibe it stays in their soul forever. The GD is just the best. I am listening to the GD50 shows from chicago 2015 right at this very moment, I love Trey with my whole heart and I like hearing him on Dead songs, he is just a great great player and clearly respects the music as much as anyone and is a huge fan so I can only imagine the thrill he had playing those shows last summer. I love the fact that the phish and dead crowds are so interwoven nowadays and have been for quite a while now. I was reading up on the 99 Phil and Phriends shows a few days ago and some old timers were talking about how those shows brought the dead fanbase holdouts around on phish, they are truely spactacular shows indeed. I listen to the 4/16/99 show at least once every month still. Live music is just the best form of recreation. I love it so much and have had so many fun times with my friends and family and girl at shows of all sorts for many years and will continue to see bands that I love until I become unable to do so which hopefully won't be for another 60 or 70 years. I want to be 100 at the phish100 shows haha. I'd dose for sure. i'll see what i can check out about the band u told me about, thanks man, im so happy to hear you have the spirit flowing in you, 25 is a great age, but every age is great, but 25 is wonderful, really go out and see as much music as you can, it seems like you do and you love it the way I do, you will not regret seeing bands u love when you get the chance. See it all and live it up balls to the wall. The road goes ever ever on like the hobbit once said lol. cheers!!
I WAS THERE. If only they could have played a jam or two then you might have had a memorable show. I mean c'mon guys; Stretch out, let your freak flags fly! You know what would have been cool? How about Lawyers Guns and money for the opener on the first night? Then you might have a memorable run.

Damn. What's the audio source? Compare and contrast this crowd with this crowd: ruclips.net/video/3ZGk-yT3baM/видео.html. HUGE difference. Glad we got to experience the halcyon days.
that crowd is absoutley nuts. insane.
The road goes ever ever on like the hobbit once said lol. cheers!!
True Panic
yip yip yippppp
Still miss Mikey!
Nice give
I WAS THERE. If only they could have played a jam or two then you might have had a memorable show. I mean c'mon guys; Stretch out, let your freak flags fly!
You know what would have been cool? How about Lawyers Guns and money for the opener on the first night? Then you might have a memorable run.
Narley starts at 2:17
Only Earl Scruggs could have done it better than this
