Hey I just picked up a customers 05 and he says the bike keeps popping out of gear, trans should be replaced? And he says he experienced power loss

May not need completely replaced, sounds like something internal. But without seeing the bike I hate to make a prediction

Quick question what would cause the bike to loose second gear on a 2001 raptor 660 and how can you confirm it i was told second gear going out was common on the 01s is it as easy as changing the gear or is there more to it

In 02 they changed the second gear as it was prone to failure. I would rebuild the transmission and install a new second gear from 03’ and up. Without seeing the unit I can’t confirm that’s all that’s wrong.
