    You can make a larger batch in same amount of time by increasing amount of ingredients and cooking in a larger utensil.
    1/2 cup oats make a large puttu enough for 1 serving. Traditionally puttu is served with black chana curry and tea/coffee)
    Ingredients for 3 servings:
    Rolled oats( Old fashioned oats) 1 1/2 cup
    Water 125 ml
    Shredded carrot 1/2 cup
    Shredded beetroot 1/2 cup
    Dessicated coconut 1/2 cup OR fresh coconut (* do not add curd if using fresh shredded coconut)
    Hung curd/thick yogurt (NOT SOUR) 1/4 cup
    Salt 1/4 tsp
    Kashmiri red chili powder 1 heaped tsp
    Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
    Coriander leaves , a handful
    ginger chopped 1 tsp or less
    Butter paper/ parchment paper as required
    Water 2 cup for steaming
