I like them, sold a few of my packout out boxes, and replaced them with these. Cant wait for the single drawers. Reason i like these is the accesory placements are not permanent and u can switch them all up depending on your needs. Unlike packout which u have to modify and drill alot of times. @toughbuilt We would love to see a 2 or 3 Drawer rolling lower box - In Spring, we have the single Drawer roller but a quality multi drawer lower would be ideal for trades/home enthusiasts Something that Packout Users have been craving for years
FYI you can open mid stack Tough Built Stack Tech boxes. Its a pretty easy process and you could do the same thing you do with your Milwaukee set up. For Stack Tech you just unlock the the above box that you want to get into then lift the front up just enough to unlatch the lid latch of the box your trying to get into. Let the above box back down and it will lock back in. You can now lift the lid and get into the box you need to get something out of. Then just repeat the process to latch the lid again. All in all the process takes just a couple seconds more then doing it on my Dewalt Tough System 2.0 honestly.
For sure! It’s doable, I wouldn’t want to leave it unlatched for the sake of top boxes making it too heavy then titling the stack. Just much more convenient on the packout to do while attached to be able to latch and unlatch
I love mine. I have the bottom rolling toolbox, the open crate and the half size toolbox, plus a few of the attachments. I want to replace the bottom rolling box with the rolling drawer when it comes out though.
I appreciate that you made this video. I was looking for some type of torture testing, so far you are the only one. I had hoped you might bury it and toss it in water as well. Anyway, thank you for abusing your gear. I really didn't expect it pop open, I might tape the latch under certain circumstances to prevent spilling.
I was hoping to do a whole lot more of testing to it! Still may in the future I got a few more bones to pick with the stack tech but all in all a great system
Awesome video! I saw them on the store and they are amazing! But I am a skinny guy with Arthritis and those boxes are really heavy without any tool, so, I don't want to see them full of heavy stuff! :D
The oily or rainbow look is usually identified in the sun. It’s a stress on plastic from manufacturing. Everything made from plastic has some sort of stress to it. Clear is just more visible
thanks for this review, it really helps but if you really wanna test them could you put some dummy weight in there like small bags with sand or fill the containers with pebbles and then push the stack over to see the stability and if the locking mechanism is actualy able to withstand a stack falling over with "tools" in them (dont throw them in the air or of the roof). i understand if you dont want to because you bought and want to use them but it would be a perfect test to see their durability
Appreciate the comment dwayne! And the solid understanding 😂 I do have some weights and maybe some tools I can toss in there and set them up how I got my packout and see how it goes! Appreciate it man
I checked these out this past weekend and I like them, but not sure I’d get rid of my PackOut either. Side note, the footprint is larger, one thing I don’t like.
They are pretty sweet! I wouldn’t get rid of packout but I’ll integrate these in there, maybe bc it’s fresh and new and I’ve been using packout since day one that’s why their so interesting

There may be one more “durabilit” test video
Load it up flip it on concrete. Due to the terrible inboard wheels on the PO dolly, and coworkers not strapping it down..they have fallen at least 15x. I do not see PB latch holding up. Do like the modularity through all the units. Am worried about the black warping in the heat,or burning my hands. It amazes me how a company can literally get basic (design for function) wrong with 4 years of data from social media complaints. I guess it's no different than a gc asking you to, just show up to a jobsite "to show progress". Great review. I won't even look at them until drawers are available, including the single, but I really like the PO cabinet. .since drawers do take up some space height-wise. A deeper drawer in an xl would be great, since tracksaw and large saws need to lay sideways to fit.
All good points. I’d love to absolutely destroy these or put them through straight hell 😂 unless toughbuilt will reimburse me, I may do some more tests. Good point on the black boxes, I don’t foresee them having a warping issue they are stout l, better then tough system. I do think that once those drawers release it will be fantastic, if the build quality is like these (I’m sure they will be) they will definitely have ppl enter their system. As first timers, not sure about the crossover conversion, but they’re bringing the heat I believe!!

Having to pick up all the parts each time one is dropped will be a hard contemplation if I were to switch from Packout to Toughbuilt. Nice video. Can't wait to see the next test.
