  • Samyang 45mm 1.8 FE | Quick Review | The new nifty-fifty
    After over 2 months of shooting the Samyang 45mm f/1.8 for the Sony FE - I`m ready to share my opinion about this little korean lens. Is it good? Is the 45mm a new golden focal lenght? Hear my thoughts.

    Samyang might be my reason to switch to Sony this year!

    Thanks for this great review. A fantastic lens, extremely versatile and with the best compromise in term of picture quality. I totally agree with you.
    I really love the background music. Could you please tell me where you took it from? I'd appreciate a lot. Thanks again

      Thanks friend. Appreciate that. The intro music tune is composed by me, and the rest background is a free RUclips library track "Kreuzberg Nights" by Futuremono - you can find it in the Music Libary in your RUclips studio.

    I have an important question for you that I hope you ask me. How much noise it do when Focus automatically?

    My lens is noisy also on video. How to not make noisy while taking video? Is there any setting?

    Cool music. Who's the artist? Where did you find it?

    Thanks for your video. Do you think that if you have the 35 the 45 will be enough different to justify the add? Why do you keep both as they are so close? Thanks

      You're welcome! As for the 35 and 45, I really like 35mm but sometimes it fits to take something tighter, for example on the street - with the 35mm you need to get really close to your subject, sometimes too close for comfort, so the 50mm or 45mm in this case is just perfect. The 35mm on the other hand is my choice for photoshoots with models and for close ups, like food and details as it has really close focusing distance. So I really enjoy having both so close, yet in reality very different focal lengths.

    Question..Is the focus faster than the Sony 35mm?

    • @DigitalRetro
      @DigitalRetro  3 года назад +1

      It`s definitely a little slower than 35mm, but much faster than 50mm 1.8 and doesn`t hunt as much as the fifty

    "the eye AF is fine, and works most of the time" [shows picture focusing on eyelash]

      XD I messed that up but It’s my fault not the lens’. The lens did focus right I guess but with that wide open aperture my shaky hand must’ve moved tiny bit back. Well it’s time to get the A7III for the continuous eye af 🙃
