Have you been unfairly dismissed for Gross Misconduct. Please also see our recent video on The Burchell Test/Range of Reasonable Responses Test: • Gross Misconduct - Bur... . www.doihaveacas...
@4.23 "If you're able to prove or persuade a tribunal that the decision to dismiss you for gross misconduct is ... an unreasonable decision, it may be possible for you to challenge your dismissal": why only "may ..." if you're able to prove or persuade your case ?? if you can prove it's an unreasonable decision, there's most certainly a very good case, and one should go ahead. why the hesitancy and over-caution, basically almost discouraging employees to take action, in "it may be possible ... to challenge". employees should be empowered, and supported in that, not discouraged and made to feel unsure.
I was also recently and unfairly dismissed but fortunately one of my former colleagues is representing me with a claim through Acas - this video made interesting listening - it's made me feel more determined to "fight" my former employers :)
Just over 18 months ago, I was sacked for gross misconduct to be used as a scapegoat to avoid a serious case review which would have put Social Services and Education under scrutiny. Unison were more interested in having a pop at the CC during the meetings, rather than trying to save my job; which had just received an ‘inadequate’ OFSTED for its Childrens Services. They were next to useless. If I’d had the money I’d have got a solicitor.

I was fired for gross and wanton misconduct for being out for covid-19 related issues and not calling my job every day. I admit not calling the job every single day, but I didn't think I had to once they knew that I was sick. Is this gross and wanton misconduct?
I work 1 job for 3years and got laid off but I had a part time job 4 8 months and I got fired for misconduct can I still get my employment from my other job
I was fired for gross misconduct last year but it was hard to find a job base on the information that kroger HR told the unemployment all lies i say the mgr at that location was being a jerk and a racist toward his own kind its sad but that is the way it is so do not ever violate the company polices it can ruin you from getting unemployment or seek other employment else where

What about someone left the premises of work place during break time, is that person going to be dismiss too.
