@@Kayshots the flight time isn't that bad. The mavic mini 2 is supposed to have 31 minutes of flight time, but I have seen videos of people who have takes the mini 2 five kilometers and only landed at 3% battery which the mavic air can also do. If u want more flight time, buy more batteries.
Totally agree! I was thinking of upgrading to the air 2, but decided to wait for the air 3. If I was having all the signal problems that people have with the air 1 then I would upgrade, but I have never had problems with the signal, and have seen people get over 5km with the air 1

I bought a Mavic Air this past summer. I use it recreationally and commercially for my home inspection business for roof inspections. I also obtained my FAA license. I love this device. Highly recommend!
I like the Mavic Air and its new features such as slow motion and advanced obstacle avoidance, but I wish DJI would've released a drone that was similiar in size to the Mavic Pro. I'm concerned about the Mavic Air's flight time and I'm not sure how it would hold up in windy situations compared to the Mavic Pro.
It's said to be good up to 22mph winds. Also, they have a new sports mode (42.5 mph) which is a little faster than the mavic & is said to be very high wind resistant.
Really enjoyed the event and looking forward reviewing Mavic Air on my channel, seems you have improved the camera and gimbal in areas that are important to me like higher bandwidth and HDR. Good work DJI

Yes yes yes! We will make great use of this ... hard to get to places, lots of trekking into remote regions for shots... this will revolutionize our work!
I would be happy if DJI would do a refresh: - Better battery; maybe more efficient motors or chips? - Ocusync - and with the same design, because compared to the newer models it looks really great (ok, the Mavic 3 also looks great with the black color, but the new Mavic mini and -air- series looks a bit boring with only this gray color).
Now that the Mavic Air has thrown serious shade on the Mavic Pro will DJI afford Pro owners an upgrade path for their cameras? So far as I know, the camera in the Mavic Air is effectively identical to that in the mavic Pro yet offers a substantially higher bitrate and therefore superior video recording quality. That said, I'd like to know if DJI will eventually provide Pro owners with either a firmware patch to increase our video recording bitrates to match the Air, or at the very least give us the means to replace the Pro camera with the the one found in the Air
How do you know that?? When I bought the Spark Flymore Combo for USD 700 I took into consideration its portability and that I didn't want to pay the price tag of the Mavic (USD 1400 at that time. The Mavic Air at USD 799 will definitely cannibalize the Spark.

Meh. I'll hang onto my mavic pro. This is a good middle ground between the mavic and spark. One thing I do wish the mavic pro had that this has are the rear sensors.

У меня на днях был такой случай....летал рано утром на пляже миласти( о. Бали) над водой на высоте около 200 метров. И отлетел на расстояние 1100м на частоте 5.8. Дрон начал терять сигнал, завис на месте и вообще на телефоне высветилось "Disconected". и обратно он почему-то не полетел. Я уже было попрощался с дроном( Решил хоть сделать что-нибудь...выключил и включил пульт и ура...он подключился. Еле успел долететь оэбратно. Теперь очень эбольно смотреть такие видео😆 Сердце кровью обливается!

Seeing how the dji spark is good in high winds I’m sure this could handle it just as well as the mavic pro

Even though Mavic 2 Pro & Zoom already released few weeks ago, I'm still getting myself mavic air! I couldn't wait!
i thought it was gonna be 600 instead of 800 (leaks) a bit anticlimactic... But it is a very nice drone!

Timo Freerunning That's tough. I'm not sure what I would do. I would probably just stay away from an actual airport and just be careful where you fly.
