It IS crazy how time works! I love TBR's, I don't always finish them but it helps me stay on track! Empire of the Vampire is a priority for my October!
@@crystalsbookishlife I’m so excited to see how you find Empire of the Vampire, I want to know who has the better rec, Empire or Diaries? That is the question
WE ARE THE DEAD IS THE BEST! Hope it clicks with you as well. Best Served Cold, Pet Cemetery, The Way of Edan and The Temple of Fortuna are also awesome :). I need to carry on with Dungeon Crawler Carl! Happy reading for October :).
@@AndrewsWizardlyReads It’s just so easy aye! The Haunting of Hill House and The Lies of the Ajungo were my recent surprise reads, what have yours been?
Been an awesome month for reading so far, just wrapped up the first law trilogy a couple of days ago! What a ride that was, and my copy of we are the dead turned up yesterday 🙏🏻
We are the Dead has recently popped up on my radar too, looking forward to giving it a crack.. Also looking at Blacktongue Thief and Shadow of the Gods.
My TBR for Oct: Emily Wildes Map of the Otherworlds - Heather Fawcett Under the Whispering Door - TJ Klune The Core - Peter V Brett Starsight - Brandon Sanderson Malice - JoHn Gwynn Looking forward to hearing about your reads
Im looking at the following; Bookclub Books Hunger of the Gods A Little Hatred We are the Dead Authority and Acceptance - Southern Reach Trilogy. Between Two Fires. Possibly Daughters War going into October, I want to start it today. Audio - Hopefully Ashes of Man and Disquiet Gods.
So excited to start We are the Dead! I'm planning to complete Ruin, A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms, Empire of the Damned and hopefully a couple of horror books, which are Gone to see the river man and will see if I can fit it in a Stephen King or Blake Crouch book, too! I think I'm being incredibly ambitious 🤷♀️🙃
I’m reading IT by Stephen King for spooky season and catching up on some more Dresden Files. Onto Blood Rites at the moment. Best Served Cold is my all time favourite book from my second favourite series. We Are the dead is amazing.
I’ve heard great things about We Are the Dead, def going to jump on soon. I’m going to start Gods of Wyrdwood in October but before that for something lighter I’ve just started Cradle by Will Wight
I LOVE Best Served Cold! My only complaint is its only a smidge too long but only a smidge. Its been awhile since I've read any King. I should correct that! I'd recommend Revival, is short by Modern King standards and is a very slowburn that gradually rachets up the creepiness. I think about the ending quite often. Dude, don't skip Liveship Traders, its stupendously good in its own right, but Liveship and Rain Wilds do the bulk of the heavy lifting of the worldbuilding and lore of the wider RotE world. Tawny Man is my favourite part of the RotE so far (so I don't blame you), but there's some stuff that made me glad I didn't skip Liveship. Also, LT has the best most fleshed out complex antagonist in the whole series! I'm taking a break from Hobb after binge-ing 4 of her books in a row (3/4s of Rain Wild Chronicles and the 1st of the final Fitz trilogy), so I'm currently reading Tad Williams' Stone of Farewell (2nd Memory Sorrow & Thorn). Very reminiscent of GRRM and Hobb, moreso GRRM in terms of worldbuilding and how they play with tropes.
@@thatsci-firogue I can definitely see that for Best Served Cold, it does feel a little drawn out. I’ll have to write that down, that King book hasn’t crossed my radar before, cheers! I don’t think I’ll read Tawny First, I should have enough good books to keep me happy till my hold for Ship of Magic is ready. Though I am always craving some Hobb. I love to hear that about MST I am itching to get to it
I just started "we are the dead"! And am already a quarter of the way through. It's very fast paced and I'm really liking it so far. Hope you like pet sematary, it's one of my favorite king books.
