I am glad to see Vordt getting some love in this list! I love how the begginig of this track fees reminiscent of typical medieval movie music, and then it takes more feral turn just as Vordt does. Also though I haven’t played Dark Souls 1 yet I really like the simplicity of those tracks. The later osts have too much over the top orchestral noise and (at least for me) blend into one, while the DkS tracks are calmer, bit simpler yet convey their message better. Also Gherman’s is my top favorite with Cleric Beast and Dark Souls 3 menu music as close next.
Every song on the list resembles a character perfectly developed, their backstory and emotions in the fight. The last 5 are all number 1 on that matter for me
No demon Souls ;_; Solid List PVPSkillz. Thanks a lot. Personally, I‘m missing Cleric Beast (since I found out the f... actually has vocals i love that theme), the bell gargoyles (soooo iconic) and I‘d have put Halflight way higher. The part when the extra arc comes in towards the end seriouly takes my balls everytime. And of course I‘d have included some DeS (tower knight / penetrator and lady astraea for sure). Keep up the good work man! Muchos Amor!
The Soulsborne music is really under appreciated. Lists like these are too few and far between. Thanks for improving my evening PvPSkillz. Also I definitely would've put Father Gascoigne 's track in there. Not as mellow but it gets you pumped for a fight like no other. And cleric beast but that more nostalgia
The souls series OSTs really are incredible. The fact music is used so sparingly makes them have that much more impact. Awesome list man covers almost all my favourites.
I would include Ebrietas' theme in this list for me, that song gives me space chills and feels like I'm in another dimension. Completely underrated imo.
When the piano kicked in at the SoC fight, I had to put the controller down and realise how much the Soulsbourne games meant to me. It was a unique experience.
Demon's Souls had the most unique soundtrack, I feel all the other titles tracks could be easily swapped around and not feel out of place. Demons Souls had this unsettling blaring trumpet aesthetic throughout quite a few of its tracks. It was very unusual but really added to the feel of boletaria. The introduction sequence, armour spider, nexus/maiden, old king and the end titles all stand out to me.
TITANSPIRIT I don't see how you could feel that way but most are quite unique and exspechaly when comparing bloodborne to them there is a definite difference when I'm someone who is forced to work with orchestral music all day I can tell
BEast Sauce osts are subjective but they fit and it shows in demons to dark souls 3 they have a wonderful ability in making everything fit together and maiden in black ost is the best pay umbasa
Damnn The evolution of game music is awesome For me it's 5) Yhorm The Giant 4) Laurence, The First Vicar / Living Failures (Can't choose :)) 3) Slave Knight Gael 2) Dragonslayer Armor / Pontiff Sonuvabitch / Ludwig (It isn't easy) 1) Twin Princes Edit: And cool af boss pictures too though
What i love about the Vordt OST is, that it really sounds like this medieval music you listen when you see see a movie with a huge guard. It really fits the whole setting and the lore...
Ngl Gaping Dragon is a nice theme in my opinion. It has an air of the dragon’s regality but also the horridness of what it has become due to its insatiable lust for food.
MrKal9000 from dark souls as a series yes bloodbourne has much more fitting music demons has a class all of its own since it fits it's style dark souls 2 has some beautiful music but it's dragged down by being attached to dark souls and dark souls I only like sifs because it's fucking sif everyone's favorite furball
Great list! I personally agree with a lot of this list. One interesting thing to note: it seems sir alonne's ost inspired a lot of pieces in the future
I miss playing this game. I think I'm going to play all the way from Demon Souls to Dark Souls 3 all over again. I have some DarkSouls wannabe's like The Surge, Dragons Dogma and Lords of the Fallen, they are great games... but it's not the same.
Ah, I see you are a man of culture as well! Here's a top ten, and my goodness, it's so hard to pick from so many great songs... #10: Ludwig, the Holy Blade. #9: Dark Souls III Main Theme. #8: Darkeater Midir. #7: Soul of Cinder. #6: Champion's Gravetender. #5: Cleric Beast. #4: Champion Gundyr. #3: Gehrman, the First Hunter. #2: Slave Knight Gael. #1: Sir Alonne. I haven't played Demon's Souls yet, so I wouldn't know if there's one I like. I also haven't played the Old Hunters, but just hearing Ludwig's theme sent chills down my spine!

Laurance has the best theme in my opinion his is just so grand and badass while also being sad and dark
Hmm halflight, spear of the church? Interesting chose, I personally would have put the cleric beast on that spot, but I can see why you pick it.
Many ppl love the second phase tho, including me. It feels much better and adds immersion when you are actually the boss
Connor Mac yeah, an incredibly strong second phase of the song.
Yes, because in offline mode, YOU are the boss, and Halflight is the training dummy, so it just feels epic
Its 12:33 my dude
Gehrman’s theme is a music masterpiece. When the chorus starts singing… perfect way to end a perfect game
I know I am late here.
But I absolutely love Gael ost. It's fucking epic.
The transition to the 2nd phase gives me chills, and somehow the 3rd gives me chills in top of the chills
Lol you say you're late?
@@lemskio9624 hold my taco
Up next, top 10 somewhat small rocks in the soulsborne series
Ruttstuck wrong channel, fellow undead. 😂
wrong channel, go to indeimaus for that
Ruttstuck funny comment bit that's more a thing Indeimaus
Wednesday April shit, you're right
Ruttstuck it's all good man it was still funny though
The Abyss Watchers’ theme is so incredible that I can’t help but purposefully stall during the fight to hear more of it ❤️
Thank you for putting Sir Alonne’s Track here. It’s so underrated
I think the best part of the Abyss Watchers theme is that bell. Starts it off perfectly.
Where's "One Who Craves For Souls"? That song is so good
30:15 Praise! For I have seen the light! And it is most beautifully iridescent!
The last 5 are all number 1 on that matter for me
Ivo Mollov perfectly developed? i don’t know the half of these fools
@@hsmileyface8308 sounds like a you problem, some people read lore and some feel music just by hearing it. Music theme can definitely tell a story.
I will never get over how good Ludwig’s choir sounds man
No demon Souls ;_;
Solid List PVPSkillz.
Really glad to see Pontiff's theme getting some recognition
The memories of our first playthroughs... this alone, that feeling, is enough to make worth living.
The only thing I can remember about smoughs and ornsteins music is “FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!”
Sekiro and Elden Ring refined gameplay, but I feel nothing can dethrone DS3 and Bloodborne when it comes to music.
Where's the love for the sister freide soundtrack? It's so eaegasmic.
Agreed, one of my favorite
Nameless song is personally my favorite but it’s mostly nostalgia
But.....but....no dragonslayer armour?
It's gud only In first path
Literally nobody appreciates ds2's ending theme, which is one of my favourited (especially sotfs version), and that makes me sad
Yeah i love that
I would include Ebrietas' theme in this list for me, that song gives me space chills and feels like I'm in another dimension. Completely underrated imo.
The first hunter is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've heard in a game
Agreed, that and Omen. I love Omen.
@@oliverdiop7530 I also enjoy the False God Hymn
@@MiorAkif same, even tho it's a quite disturbing. I like Cleric Beast's alpha theme more tho.
When the piano kicked in at the SoC fight, I had to put the controller down and realise how much the Soulsbourne games meant to me.
It was a unique experience.

1:08:47 Gehrman, first Hunter
Finally done sorry for any spelling errors
Edit: fixed vordt
KeBjg 123 I'm gonna have to agree with you mate
Demon's Souls had the most unique soundtrack, I feel all the other titles tracks could be easily swapped around and not feel out of place. Demons Souls had this unsettling blaring trumpet aesthetic throughout quite a few of its tracks. It was very unusual but really added to the feel of boletaria. The introduction sequence, armour spider, nexus/maiden, old king and the end titles all stand out to me.
Ehhh. Other than Maiden Astraea, I didn't really care for Demon's Souls' OST.
I can never forget Tower Knight OST or Maiden Astraea OST. They're so unique in the entire series.
TITANSPIRIT I don't see how you could feel that way but most are quite unique and exspechaly when comparing bloodborne to them there is a definite difference when I'm someone who is forced to work with orchestral music all day I can tell
TITANSPIRIT and go Titans home team
BEast Sauce osts are subjective but they fit and it shows in demons to dark souls 3 they have a wonderful ability in making everything fit together and maiden in black ost is the best pay umbasa
Damnn The evolution of game music is awesome
For me it's
5) Yhorm The Giant
4) Laurence, The First Vicar / Living Failures (Can't choose :))
3) Slave Knight Gael
2) Dragonslayer Armor / Pontiff Sonuvabitch / Ludwig (It isn't easy)
1) Twin Princes
Edit: And cool af boss pictures too though
dark souls 3 player spotted
@@bazplayzyt6207 DS3 went hard with great bosses. You can’t deny that
Twin princes is easily number 1 hands down. The double fight takes the cake
@@TheLordNovo never said I dont like the game
@@bazplayzyt6207 I never said you didn’t. How you came to that conclusion is baffling
Cool video, but where is Gascoigne? :o
TRUE!
Yeah and yhorm? :o
The cleric beast ?
That is such a great list! Love it! Also, the screenshots and fan arts used... Wow! Just... Wow! Great job. :)
Maluco é foda
What i love about the Vordt OST is, that it really sounds like this medieval music you listen when you see see a movie with a huge guard. It really fits the whole setting and the lore...
But what about Dunkstein and Slamough?
Oh yeah, they're here.
@@dougduggerthin1968 *COME ON AND SLAM*
*AND WELCOME TO THE JAM*
The Living Failures have a fantastic (short) OST. That song deserves a better boss...
Big part of why I love this series so much is the EPIC MUSIC. Best in the business.
Ngl Gaping Dragon is a nice theme in my opinion. It has an air of the dragon’s regality but also the horridness of what it has become due to its insatiable lust for food.
Sir Alonne has my pick.
gehrman is honestly my fave song in ANY videogame OST ever... its just perfect
Yay, somebody who actually has some taste.😉
No Firelink Shrine? That theme just sets the mood for the entire game. It's so bleak, so hopeless, I can't wipe this smile off my face.
jesus frybread i find Majulas theme the most depressing theme of the entire series, it always made me sad in a somehow nice way...
notice how most of them are form dark souls 3 say what you want about DS3 but i think its got the best music in the whole series
@@jdrok5026 all of the games have some great music
Great list! I personally agree with a lot of this list. One interesting thing to note: it seems sir alonne's ost inspired a lot of pieces in the future
I love abyss watchers soundtrack
Dancer of the boreal Valley is one of my favorites too
Frankly, I would have put Slave Knight Gael in 1st place. I guess it was just so grand. Same thing for Darkeater Midir, which would get 2nd place.
I miss playing this game. I think I'm going to play all the way from Demon Souls to Dark Souls 3 all over again. I have some DarkSouls wannabe's like The Surge, Dragons Dogma and Lords of the Fallen, they are great games... but it's not the same.
Mine top 20:
20. Fume Knight
19. Dancer
18. Nameless
17. Vordt
16. Majula
15. Gargoyles
14. Asylum Demon
13. SoC
12. Dark Souls 3 menu
11. Dark Souls 2 menu
10. Ruin Sentinels
9. Demon Souls menu
8. Artorias
7. Gwyn
6. Ivory King
5. Sir Alonne
4. Sif
3. Slam Jam
2. Ludwig
1. Twin Princess
SuBPolaricPL I completely agree with twin princes as number 1, what a masterpiece. One of the more memorable fights in my opinion as well.
Ruin Sentinels i´m glad that someone put it on his ranking !! :D
To ruin sentinels add a smelter demon since they use the same ost
Mad Bro Sheo yes finally some one who agrees that sir alonne has the best track
