I felt like I got sucked right into a fairytale when I saw the castle of Beauclair for the very first time as Geralt and the duchess's knights arrived in Toussaint 🤩
The Witcher 3 is the greatest game of all times. It should be considered a true classical game, a masterpiece. The developers shall be regarded in the same way that Beethoven is regarded when speaking about music.
I am member of a community, where from time to time, some people are announcing that they saved up to build a gaming PC, and mention that they feel eager to play Witcher 3 for the first time. I always reply with how envious I am that they get to experience it for the first time. Even if the game is 8 years old, I would say that it still hold its ground in story, graphics, sound, enviroment and gameplay, not necessarily in that order. When asked what the three best games are, I always reply "Witcher 3 is one of my answers for that question, what the other two are, I don't know". That's how good I personally felt that the game was.
I left my hart and soul in Toussaint! when i hear its music it's like i spent another life in there...the nostalgia is strong. Such a beautiful place!!
There's actually a word for what you're feeling - hiraeth. I felt the same during my entire playthrough of the Witcher 3, especially in Skellige, Kaer Morhen and Toussaint
Same here, fellows. I like quite a few places in the Witcher universe, but Toussaint... the names and the landscapes sound and look so much like a mix of a bunch of European countries' regions. The kind that you wouldn't want to come back from, after the holidays are over.
I'd humbly help you with my best skills ! I'd cook french and italian foods ! More srsly, if you want a Toussaint inspired vacation : go visit Provence in France, cities like Toulouse, or area like Aquitaine or Alpes-maritimes. If you're closer or would prefer Italy, go for cities like Verona, or area like Piemonte (don't know how it's called in English sorry) or Tuscany ! In Aquitaine, you can go to Bordeaux and its surrounding cities/ villages to drink delicious wines ! In Toscana : ofc go for the Chianti Valley, for other equally delicious wines ;) My advice : go for the little villages rather than big vineyards domains, whether in France or Italy, they have amazing and complex wines too, for a modicum of the price :)
This game and specifically this dlc holds such a special place in my heart. I played it when I was 15 the holiday before we moved to a new town. Not only was a saying farewell to Geralt and the Witcher games but also to many friends. Even now in College I still think back fondly to that time. Blood and Wine really was a love letter to fans.
Oh I understand you my friend! I had same feeling with Gothic game series. I still think about my time as a kid playing that game over and over again trying new stuff 🙂 Blood and wine is one of the best, if not may the best addition to a game. When I saw the last video trailer with all of the characters toghether i shed a tear. But I knew, witcher saga will return 😁 Take care my friend and good luck in College💪
Man, I feel this so much. Played through this just before I moved to a new town all on my own for studying. I always get misty eyed when I listen to this.
Every year, I am playing again to the Witchers' trilogy including DLC when it exists and I love that. They are my favorite video games as Lord of the rings are my favorite books since my 15 year-old.
I got Witcher 3 with both DLCs on steam for a discount price back in 2018, played through the base game and was like omg that was amazing, started and ended heart and stone and thought that was a good story, and the came blood and wine, when i saw Toussaint for the first time i was blown away, the soundtrack, the people, different things to do and it was like another game. I felt very empty when Geralt looks at the camera at the end of the game smiling and then credits. Played the game and the DLCs a few times but i wish i can go back in time to experience it for the first time again.
Don't know if someone is reading this, but if you are: it doesn't matter where you are right now on this planet, I wish you a wonderful day and a happy, peaceful life where all your dreams come true. You are amazing and beautiful! I believe in you!
👍...The Witcher 3 & especially the DLC Blood & Wine probably contains one of the best & most atmospheric soundtracks of all time. The landscape of Touissant is beautiful. Thanks for the atmospheric video...🙂
TW3 remains the most incredible game I have ever played by a substantial margin. It has it all. The music, the story, the characters, the attention to detail, choices that actually matter, memorable and unpredictable quests. A satisfying progression system. A proper balance of realism and fun. And then both DLCs managed to top the base game. Does it have combat as refined as Bloodborne, which released around the same time? No. I remember judging the game initially, because I felt that the rougher combat would put me off. A small price to pay.
I agree with you my friend😁 it could have been better but I still thought the combat was ok, compared to other games I played. I did played the game on death march, I had to adapt and really play like a witcher, that was a awesome experience, got it at 100% avhievements on PS4😁 Takw care my friend!
I haven't played The Witcher 3 in a long time, but it's still one of my all-time favorite games. Watching your video brought back a flood of memories and emotions, reconnecting me to a time in my life when I was deeply immersed in its world. It feels like reliving meaningful experiences, sparking personal reflection and nostalgia. Thank you for reminding me of those moments.
Amazing mix! Felt really stressed when I got into work and couldn't stop thinking about personal issues, but this has chilled me out and now I'm working more productively!
Just finished the Blood and Wine DLC and now I spend some time actually slowly walking through the entirety of Beauclair. This is (or was) my first playthrough of the game, and now even after 250h of playing, I still notice some small details like a merchant testing wine in beauclair and choking up while drinking XD or some guy at the docks hammering nails and accidentally hitting his thumb :D Man I can't just not play TW3 anymore:(
This music and video just brought me out of a major emotional crisis and gave me answers to some questions. An internal unlock has occurred. Thanks a lot!!))
The Blood and Wine DLC is probably THE best DLC in Gaming! Aside from Iki Island in Ghost Of Tsushima. The Vampires, the open world, Beauclair, getting a Vineyard to relax in, decorate, and place trophies in, the robust Side Quests, and how the Side Quest quality from Hearts of Stone and Wild Hunt remains, the puffy white clouds and baby blue skies...
Oh yes you are so right, this place felt like a vacation to be honest, you have to work with Geralt yet you can chill afterwards 😀👌 I love how Ghost of Tsushima looks, I have to play it soon 🙂
I dont understand why city councils cant make the place more beautiful with flowers in the streets like this instead of this dystopian cities we live in
I really wish one day they release a VR/AR version which we can literary see and interact like immersive game. It would be crazy to fight and use the swords against monsters and more battles. By far the best game I ever played.
I come to congratulate you for posting this video... You managed not only to bring me nostalgia for this work in my life, but it seems that you optimized the sound in an inexplicable way. Congratulations and thank you! ;)
