Thank you, Angela! You’re the absolute best teacher on RUclips. Tuning in from Miami, FL. Dream guitar = Fender Jaguar (late 60s model).
This is a great lesson! Would love to see more lessons on early Tom Petty.
Love it and thanks for sharing with us! New Bern NC, any old Martin!🪕
Great song to learn.
Love ya work . Australia in the house . Martin D-45 is my dream axe .
I’m in Victoria, British Columbia 🇨🇦. I don’t know about my dream acoustic as I’m really happy with my Gibson J-15, my Yamaha FGX5 and my 12 string Martin Grand J-16E. The guitars are better than my playing ability right now. I look forward to improving with your lessons 🎸
Hi Angela, watching under the stars, camping out👏
Love this song. I’m from the Columbus Ohio area. I’ve been a drummer all my life since the age of eight years old and I’m currently 50 years older than that. I don’t want to do the math that way you’ll figure out my age. :-) I only started playing guitar about four years ago. I am a lefty who had to order the guitar. I want it which was a small Taylor GS mini mahogany. that’s more than enough for me. Should I keep improving, then, all Gwynn, and pick out one that I really love. Thank you for these wonderful videos. Plus, always fun to see you jamming at Norms.✌🏼
My dream acoustic would be a Taylor Grand Auditorium. Electric would be an early 60's Gibson SG. Love your lessons Angela!!!
Don't forget to add an open G note on the 3rd string when playing the F chord. Gives you that nice Big 80's sound!!
Mt. Shasta, CA. My dream acoustic guitar is my Faith Blood Moon Venus.

Nice cowboy chord jam you've picked, there. I'm glad, 'cause I need to slow my role lol. Jumped into far too difficult songs way too soon. First song I ever tried to tackle was Ramble On! Two years playing, in March, and I'm still not able to play that one at full speed correctly. One day.... Thanks, again for the treasured Riff Rundown 🤘
I have a 1968 J45 Gibson square shoulder ❤
Just fantastic, I completely enjoy your lessons and in this case thanks so much for such a straightforward and accessible approach to playing a song I've always loved. One question, as I'm trying to wrap my head around the theory behind the chords: For the G extension, since we're keeping the 3rd (B on the A string), doesn't adding the C (11th) on the B string make it a Gadd11 vs. Gsus4? Thanks again for this, and for all that you do.
EDIT TO ADD: Learning this on my Dream Guitar I: Gibson SJ-200, once I'm comfortable with it - and since I swear by the Jumbo bodies - I'll light this up on Dream Guitar II: my Guild F-512, for an absolute room full of boom! 😁
Sunshine playing Black Smoke. Good job sis. Thank you.
Jammin with you from Australia . Love your lessons . My dream guitar is the Martin D45 ha ha dreamin ha .
I like this lass.
Great song! Next you should do Blind melon - Soul one 🤘 There’s some guitar riffs on that song 🎸
Good guitar riffs*

Thanks for the great breakdown lesson! Just a question, knowing that you might not see this since it’s 4 months old…when you play the verse/chorus chords a little faster it looks like you are upstrumming that first strike on the G chord? Just curious because my brain has a struggle to upstrum the C, then downstrum the G after the A. The latter is how you do it when you are teaching it in sections though and it slightly breaks the pattern. I’ve finally got it down that way but it’s definitely a bit tougher striking that G a half note later if that makes sense.
Can someone help me with the a to g strumming. I thought she said d u d on the a7, and then d u d u on the g (sus on the first u). But there’s another up stroke between those, right? Is that on the a7, the g, or like an open up strum?

Longbranch, Ontario, Canada…(!) Regarding these “sus” chords…I always thought that that stood for “sustained” but apparently it’s “suspended”. What’s the deal? Lol 😊
😎👍❤🖖
I think that’s 101 lessons now
I like the downstroke version better
My fingers are too fat to work the G
Using capo sounds like a mandoline. I miss the ending part of power chords and very slight riff, but it's played with electric not acoustic guitar and that's not the aim of the video. Great job.
My dream acoustic guitar would be Kurt Cobain's acoustic from the Unplugged session, because it is an amazing collectors' item 😁
Hey Angela your lessons are great and fully in depth except I would like to hear you sing as well as it helps to pinpoint chord changes and lyrics ❤👌
