Very cool pick ups, you seemed pretty excited with the experience, I'm very introverted myself as well but it's fun going to cons and seeing so many people that enjoy the same things that you do, sometimes it feels like you are the only one person that likes something
Yeah it was a bit surreal to see all those Falcom related panels fill up. You can find certain fandom groups on the internet but sometimes it doesn't always feel real that others like the niche things you like until you go to something in person :)
Falcom NIS keeps me interested in gaming these days. I want to keep supporting them as a developer because their games keep me hooked and always have great experiences that keep me wanting more. They are definitely one of the developers that stand out to me because of the special touch and quality of their games and unique stories they provide
Being introverted and overwhelmed by people was my experience at Pokemon GoFest last year at nyc.
Went again this year on that July 4th weekend and it was alot more smoother. We just avoided downtown/times square. Spent majority of that weekend in central park where 9 out 10 people were fellow nerds 🤓

i always enjoy hearing about people's con experiences and pickups! i recently went to a con for the first time in a few years and can definitely relate to when you said it can be overwhelming, especially the artist alley with all the choices lol. also there was a lot of hoyo art at mine too, it really is so popular - not that i'm complaining as i did get a nice boothill print. all the art you got was amazing, especially that one piece x fire emblem book, thanks for another entertaining video emily :)

Hello, Emily 😊 Glad to see you having fun at Anime Expo. In my country it was held regularly but in much smaller scale. We got cosplay, merch (mostly keychain 😅) and game tournament.
Since we're on this topic, can I ask you something, Emily? 🙂 How can you enjoy anime (and game) with different art styles? For example, we all know you like Trails/Y's series, but then I see you also like One Piece series which has very different art style. The reason I ask is because there's new games coming (Fairy Tail 2, Farmagia, also One Piece Odyssey for Switch) and I'm not sure whether or not I can enjoy it.

Great video! I've never made it to AX though I would love to! Sadly though I'm on the east coast and it's hard to justify the cost to travel across the country. I do make it to PAXEast nearly every year as well as a few retro cons locally and they just don't have the RPG focus that it appears that AX has. Very glad that you had so much fun!

So something SUPER exciting and Trails related happened! I won an auction via proxy on Yahoo Japan Auctions for the Kotobukiya Emma figure for only 14,000 Yen! I ended up shipping her via boat, and total I only spent $130! I got a VERY NICE deal, that figure is difficult to even track down. So I am waiting on Tio and Emma to arrive now ahhhhhh! ☺

That Ys lenticular card is gorgeous! So much con swag from Falcom is awesome. Really happy you had fun and your BEstelle cosplay came through and looked fantastic, wish I could've seen it in person. Con plague definitely sucks, I've suffered from my fair share many times. Haven't been to a con is such a long time, you're making me want to fix that.

Never been to a convention like that, always wanted to try something like EGX or Gamescom though - just feel like I will end up spending all my time queueing to play a couple of games (particularly as Japanese developers rarely come to Europe, too many languages) but I guess you never know until you try.
Oh, and very selfish request from me so no worries if not, I am visiting California (around the San Jose/San Francisco area) on work business soon and wondered if there are any good games stores you would recommend. Not sure if you are familiar with that area (turns out California is quite big! Who knew?😂) but thought it was worth a shot.

i think I also saw your Estelle cosplay but didn't get the chance to ask for a photo! I was really surprised at how full the Ys and Trails panels got. Even the third and final one was packed and Kondo happened to sit in my row and I got like a quick selfie with him and his interpreter before he went up to the stage.

Mt Fuji is only open in the Summer if you enjoy hiking. I went last summer while I was in the middle of playing Tears of the Kingdom and it was kind of surreal because the environment felt familiar from playing that game.
Sadly I won't be able to squeeze Mt Fuji into this trip but your experience sounds pretty amazing.

Thank you! I don't have an up-to-date video on my kpop collection but I've paired it down so that I mostly only hyperfocus on a single group as well (2PM 😆).

Not yet, but I plan to! I'm thinking after I'm up-to-date with Trails and FFVII remakes I'll get back into finishing up some Ys games & reading the VIII novel :)

Awesome!! I recently registered to a gaming con in Minnesota, 2D Con!! It will be my 6th year attending, and my 2nd year attending as a higher tier attendee, Supporter! As last year I was able to purchase a VIP badge, but as they are returning to a previous venue, and they are selling so many tickets that they had to cap registration at 5k! In 2019 I cosplayed as the Tenth Doctor (from Doctor Who in case you are unaware, disregard if you do!)and a couple people wanted Pics with me and back on Facebook a lot of people were impressed with my interpretation of the character! First time seeing you in full outfit. Must have taken great effort to put it together. I like YS games but for me they should switch to more modern engine. It's time to leave flat textures and low res behind. Just finished Rebirth and started Crysis Core. Zack's voice acting is pretty bad though..
The upcoming Ys game I think will be in a new engine. And aww I enjoyed Zack at least in Crisis Core Reunion :)
@@orbalology Ys game on a modern engine will be a day one buy for me. It's possible that because I first played Rebirth with the most modern voice acting dozens of hours and then started 15 years old game the same day the voice acting might sound different at first. I agree that Zack is an interesting character.

Honestly I feel like Emily speaks much like if she was just having a natural conversation about something she likes with the viewer and I find that cadence endearing. It’s less rehearsed and scripted feeling and I like that! It’s refreshing in a world full of people trying to play it up on camera
