How long does it take to find out this is the problem? My mechanic said it took him 7 hours to find the problem which is the ballast. He charges 115$ an hour . I bought the part for them. My acura tl is an 05.
Stealership charged me 1 hour diagnosed and. 5hr to put everything back together . I didn't pay their price, will fix it myself. It shouldn't take long too diagnose light systems from lightbulb to fusebox.
My headlights aim to low pointing at the ground after replacing them. Do you know how to adjust them up? I can’t find any info on the net and the owners manual just says to take it the dealer
About that round connector. My light bulb is bright at first then it starts dying out within seconds. Anyone know what should I replace? Bulb, ballast, igniter,? What provides the juice (power) to the light bulb to turn on? I feel that what's dying
If fuses and everything else is known good. Id just get all 4. Bulb and ballast each side. Unless you have a friend or family member to pick a known good bulb to trouble shoot. But if both are out. You can start cheaper with 2 new bulbs. Then if need be ballast. Minus a corrosion situation, the bulbs should go out before the ballast.
If you remember what was the fix for both of your headlights? Both of mine went out at the same time, I’m trying to figure out what went wrong. I can’t find anything online about this problem.
Totally doable without taking the headlights off depends how big your hands are but I did both through the wheel. Yeah it’s tight but can be done.

How long does it take total to remove bumper headlight housing and install?
probably an hour taking your time
Is this something a person can do himself or should there be 2 people for this?
You can do it solo. Just need blocks or stand to help with the bumper
