Thanks for the posted video! Got her done on my 2011 mdx because of this. Was not looking forward to taking the bumper off or paying lots of Ben Franklin's to the dealer! Without the video, I may not have trusted "the force" to find and figure out the keeper system. Took the battery out to get to the one that was burnt. Still a PIA to get an arm in there under that stupid cross piece. Was pure joy when it clicked back in! LOL.
Thanks for this video!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾I need some vice grips to turn the bulb to pull it out. It’s very tight as well as access on both passenger and driver sides.
So out of curiosity, how do you know if it’s just the lightbulb or the ballast?. And it’s the driver side low beam that went out on my 2008 Acura. It only has 170,000 miles on it both bulbs have never been changed. Or do I need to change both ballast and light bulb. B
I removed the battery 🔋 for the driver side (went ok), but the passenger side; I was like, "What the hell did I get myself into?" But somehow, I did it because that bumper removal was not happening.
how do u get ur hand in there tho that’s the literal issue everyone’s having how do u do this without fucking the new bulb up bc there’s absolutely no room for any of this
Thanks you,l save money for not to replace the LED light bulb from original bulb, the design is too different to fit and too much convert to fit it back

Felt the same way! So relieved when it clicked in! Your very welcome!
was a super PIA. couldn't have done it with out this video--excellent!
Holy shit Acura, this is about the worst design possible. Josh, thanks for posting this. The video you got is awesome.
Very welcome! It's a battle!
What a pain in the balls this bulb replacement was. Your video was super helpful. Thanks.
This video saved my life. They were going to charge me $2000 to change the bulb and the ballast at the dealership I did it myself for $30..
Thank you for posting the video. I am getting 2 light bulbs and replace them both. On my 2007 MDX
Just did this operation after your video. Thank you for the info

No problem 👍glad to help!
It was tight indeed!
Working on this right now, it's a pain in the ass lol, bit will be worth the DIY
So rewarding!
Video was great! Thanks!
Just did my passenger side after watching this. Got it done but what a pain. Definitely better then removing the bumper though

Do All 2008 Acura MDX low beams have bulbs ?
Yes
Yes
What's the bulb part number? Really good video by the way!

Same here! I was determined to not remove the bumper!

why is this easy for u omg why can’t I do this

Only reason I'd never buy an Acura. They make such simple mantaince a pain
It is actually easier then other vehicles to change.
@marlenemeinhard8956 lmao
Gotta give this a shot... been driving with high beams for a while... such a horrible design...
