I have a definite soft spot for these mostly unloved vehicles. I knew this truck existed and served but like you, I've never seen a kit of it. Should be an interesting build given the caveats in other comments. Still, degree of difficulty and construction quirks haven't stopped you yet.
Good review. I recently completed the IBG ‘Otter’ armored car which has the same chassis, frame and front end as the c115. The Otter turned out well but it was a challenging build. The chassis was slightly warped and the overall fit was poor - nothing that couldn’t be fixed with putty and patience but definitely not for the beginner.
Looks like it might be a good build! I built their TKS tank. There were a few fit issues. II got around it by trimming and sanding away. Hopefully you will not have to deal with that too. Cheers
Very unusual vehicle, as you mention, I also have not seen this before, it did look very efficient steering wheel is on wrong side :-) It must have been a beast to maintain. The kit is a very good representation of the vehicle. An avid armour builder should definitely add to his/her collection. Cheers.
Hi MN, the curious angling of this vehicle looks very unique. I can see a lot of scenarios for this piece. The reference photos are certainly full of ideas. Cool model.
Yes, I'm spoilt for choice in terms of scenarios. Many of these were used across the world after WW2. I'm even thinking of a post war, colonial era setting maybe. Would be lovely if I could get or make some decent palm trees.
@@ModelNerd Yes, palm trees can be tricky but, I have seen some nice laser cut leaves that look natural but they seem a little time consuming to make. If I come up with any ideas I'll let you know. I like to think of creative solutions. That's what modeling is all about. Thanks, Mikey V.
Hi MN, looks like quite a good kit, should be fun to build. I don't know if you know about Simon Kemps old channel, but he was quite a big fan of IBG and has built a lot of their soft-skinned vehicles. And of course he did this exact one. You may want to have a look www.youtube.com/@simonkemp.models4742/search?query=ibg Cheers, Mike
Hi Mike. Sorry for my slow reply - your comment was grabbed by the spam filter because it contained a link, and I only just noticed it. I will check out Simon's channel - thanks for the recommendation.
IBG have pretty nice kits with some lovely details but you have to be aware that (at least in older kits) sometimes location pins of small parts are actually frame gates so you have to adjust them in both lengt and sometimes width
Thanks for this inbox presentation! I have always been interested in this rather unusual truck, but in the end bought something else. You convinced me to give it a try soon!
A good review, looking forward to seeing the build. Still we have lots of models to see finished looking forward to seeing these as well. Enjoy your week.
A great review. I also had never heard of this vehicle and I too have a soft spot for soft skinned vehicles which must have made up the bulk of army vehicles, thanks.

Nice little kit 👍🏼
Sure is. I need to check out more of IBG's range and subjects. Thanks for watching!
@@ModelNerd pleasure, good luck wit the build Liam.

Thanks Marley, that's good to know. I like the look of the TKS.

looks like fun!
Yeah, I think so. Especially if I can get some crew figures for the back.
Looks like an A-Team chevy garage rebuild 😅
Haha :)
Canadians used SMLEs and Ross rifles in WW2.
Thank you Simon, I didn't know that.

Thanks
Just a comment for the algorithm
Thanks
9:38 Those rifles are most likely Lee-Enfield No. 4s. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee-Enfield#Rifle_No._4
Thanks Nicolas, much appreciated

*Thanks for the kit review, the British Forces had an infantry armored transport vehicle that's i didn't know until your video!*
Thanks for watching!

Thanks 👍 Yes, got a few on the pile still but I'm doing well to get through them and not start new ones until they're all done :)

Looks like something I will need for my collection.
Hopefully I'll be able to do a build video soon :)
@@ModelNerd I wish I had what I need to do a video. I have a lot of models in my home and a few I would love to do a video on.
