What would be nice idea: Make several time accurate models in 1:35 and place those in one large diorama to finish the story. This way we get to see the build of several models + one large diorama. I am sure you can earn money on such a thing too. Like model trains on a huge table, there are hobby clubs that have something like that. I think there are enough people who like to view such things.. (I would) You could do like train yards, beach attacks, river crossings all with buildings and vehicles alike in the same scale

A very nice looking build but all of that stowage would just slide/ fall-off as soon as the vehicle started-up.
