Great video! If you raise the wheel, the upper control arm will slide right off, no extra tools needed. There is a lot of pressure on it when the wheel is jacked up.
Good video mate, thou no need to remove sway bar linkage or abs wire only remove it from y bracket, also handy to just tap wedge up from below to slightly expand bottom clamp, rather than hammering everything 😉
@@MarkFealy thank you! And yes I finally got the tool that wedges in the middle and screws in to open the spindle a tad bit to slide the shock easier 🙌🏽
Great video. Would have liked to see the jack and jack stand configurations for doing this in my drive but i get that you prob have a lift. Either way. Super instructions
Thank you so much!! If I ever get the chance to do it on another video or another car I sure will! Thank you for watching and I am glad you enjoyed it 😊
@@bugzy2218h if you are replacing the strut only or the shock mount only or both then yes you need a spring compressor, but if you have an assembly that’s ready then no need to use a spring compressor! 🙌🏽

Great video! Thanks for the video.
However I would recommend that you use Big Shot rust penetrating spray instead of WD40, it works much better.

Great video! do you have others on the BMW E70?
Not yet!
Great video! I wonder what kind of symptoms do you expect when these fail? My car feels off when turning...
You should hear like a thud or a knock when going over bumps when they are in a bad shape! Thanks for watching 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Some videos recommend using a spring compressor to remove the strut. Is that accurate?

@@brownsburg.motorsports thank you!
