It’s crazy I’ve been watching this video just for research & now I own a pro series & a performer 96!!
Haha. It’s easy to do.
I have a Gt mach one expert not sure what year but man riding it makes me feel like a kid again
Love that feeling.
96 performer with mags weels most beautifull bike I ever ride,súper tecnique vídeo, greetings from Uruguay 🇺🇾
Certainly a great bike. Thanks for watching.
Man to be a kid again. I love chrome on anything, especially a bmx bike
Chrome is awesome.
I brought the Performer in 96, and the bash guard to go with it, still have it and it still looks Mint! 💯
Nice one. Got to keep that til the grave.
I still have the physical version GT catalogues of 1996 and 1997. As well as my 1997 Dyno Air i bought brand new that year.
Nice. Keep hold of them.
I’ve been buying every 98 pro performer I can find.
Sounds like a plan.
Still have my cruiser stamped 95 with profile 3 piece ❤️thanks for the video 🔥
Thanks for watching. Always wanted a 92-95 cruiser. Closest I got to it is. Set of 93 forks.
Miss race bikes
For sure
Can't wait for the gt bikes of 1997
Me too. 🤩
I remember when GT used built in America and assembled in America but they were MADE in Taiwan. Sleight of hand was a very snake move that ticked a lot of the brand.
Yep. 1996 was a classic year for that. Only the top 4 bikes I think were actually made in USA the rest only built in the USA. But they used the built in the USA logo on all of them. Definitely an attempt to deceive buyers.
Mine is a Japanese aluminum frame.
My cousin JAMIE BARNHART STATE AND NATIONAL CHAMP OF THAT YEAR
Smooth ride 24", when I was 180 lbs . Now, World Tour is my favorite..(29 er) GT
Nice.
OH YEAH: PRO-SERIES24" 96model IT WAS@LOT FUN AT THE BEACH ⛱ REMINDED HOW FUN&RESPECT 10-4.
Gotta love a cruiser
Just rebuilt a Fueler! Light and strong bike!
Nice. I have a 95. Solid bike.
I never had a GT BMX. Best i ever had was a late 80's Norco XXL chrome 4130 frame with all in red anodized hubs, brakes, stem, chain ring, and seat post clamp.
I didn’t as kid either. I only ever got my mates hand-me-down shitty brand frames. My mum bought me a Moto-X style bike for Christmas in ‘78, but I wanted was a BMX. 😟
@@re-rides that is exactley what happened to me. that bmx I bought in my 20's.In 1978 I had a red fake tank single speed hippo bike too. It was great if you did not have to pedal, lol.
NICE👍 I love Chrome Bikes💯💯💯
Me too.
I miss my black Mach 1. Dang
A great colour that one.
Can you tell me who the rider that was trying to jump over the backyard fence in the 1997 GT Dead Sailor video and what bike they had?
Sorry I can’t help.
I have a 1997 GT speed series XL and would love to see a video on 97 stuff.
I’ll see what I can dig out. I’m just about to build a 98 Mongoose. I can do a GT after that one.
I’ve got a 1997 GT Pro Freestyle in titanium. Very rare leftover.
Nice.
I wonder how that bike compares to my old 89 pro freestyle tour. It got stolen and 96 after I had it painted Mercedes black at the dealership. I want to ride flatland again in my 40s but I’m clearly much taller and I’m wondering how the GT PRO TOUR and Haro team masters would feel riding today.
@@williamperri3437 97 is heavy tank and 89 is very lightly.
87-89 PFT is very expensive nowadays, $5,000 and above.
@@blazeroranger yeah mine was stolen and 96 or 97 😢
@@blazeroranger the pro freestyle Tour worth more than the Haro team master of the same generation? I remember riding my buddies team master and I liked it as much on more than my pro freestyle tour.
The dropouts have some purpose .yeah well built
Absolutely.
I just picked up a pro series with the serial number YC96100357 stamped back GT with a lil R can anyone give me some info if it’s a made in USA
The YC serials indicate Taiwan made I believe.
@@re-rides thank you
I heard the 95 GT Speed Series was banned from all competition because it was made too good.
Makes a great story.
@@re-rides I dropped out of BMX in freestyle by 90 but used to race jump and ride flatland. I took my 89 GT pro freestyle tour in 1996 and painting that Mercedes black at the Mercedes dealership. My question to you is in 1996 was GT still one of the best race bike and flatland bikes in the world? How do they stand up against harrow and mongoose. I know DMC was sponsored by mongoose and his flatland bike in 96/97 was phenomenal. Anyway, I’m just trying to get an idea of when they really fell off and how those bikes hold up today compared to Haro and mongoose as well as other companies.
nice just picked up a 96 GT soeed series for 200.00!
Great buy
