One of the best times of my life - Tottenham's European campaigns 1971-74. Destroying Keflavik 9-0 at home and 6-1 away.
Watching the second leg of the UEFA Cup final May '72 at White Hart Lane on holiday in a chalet in glorious Techni-black-and-white against Wolves, later on that year seeing Jimmy Greaves score in his testimonial against Feyenoord (he got his goal two minutes into the game!). If that guy had played as many games for England as Rooney - well, let's just say Rooney wouldn't be the all-time top England scorer now. 44 goals in 57 appearances. Unbelievable. Chivers, though not as great as Greaves (who was?), was my first Spurs hero. That shot at Molineux - bloody hell!
Feyenoord got their revenge in '74's final, though - that was heartbreaking.

Quick free kicks like Wolves' equaliser in the 1st leg of the final are obsolete now
