Pat Jennings injured his groin in this match and missed the rest of the season. fortunately he recovered just in time to play for Northern Ireland in the 1982 WC. George Wood took over as no 1 for the entire 1982.
Hannibal Barca i read that Pat said it was harder to train the older he was. but to say he was past his best is a bit over. he did better than Ray Clemence. a regular for Northern Ireland until 1986.
George Graham brought in a lot of the Academy boys ..And then Wenger&$$$ made all of the difference! .But that's the way football is these dayz.. .if a team can survive in the EPL(pi/up all of that Cash)and then entice some Mega Billionaire or consortium to invest,then they will start to climb the League .Look at Leicester!

Hannibal Barca the way Pat came out to challenge Garth Crooks was so unusual. Pat was as cool as Bobby Moore in his position.
duckjive1 Pat came back in 1983 and became no 1 until early 1985 when Don Howe gave the spot to John Lukic.
