I was at this game, as an Arsenal fan of course. When we started chanting "You are my Arsenal, my only Arsenal, you make me happy when skies are grey" the Spurs fans just went silent. There were so many of us, all around the ground. What a great day that was.

I live an hour from the Emirates and the Arsenal shop and if I had the spare cash it would buy me a '79 cup final replica yellow with the number 7 on the back.
    The midfield general.
Look up the Arsenal first goal in the '79 cup final and the movement from Liam that tore United's midfield apart.
    Magical!

This is the game that got me supporting The Arsenal... Was at my Granny's house, my uncle a spuds supporter says to me "come and watch this wee team kid"... What a game... When Brady scored that worldy I was jumping about on the sofa... 8 years old... never looked back... Plus I got good bragging rights at my uncle for ever after that game...

Me too 16 at the away game after walking down Seven Sisters.
      What a day it was.
We all agree Arsenal are magic!
I can still hear Terry Neil’s red and white army singing: Brady Brady always the king of Highbury…Allen Allen Sunderland…Willie for Scotland…Pat Jennings….Graham Rix Rixie…Stapleton…Stapleton…Pat Rice…
      David O’Leary…
      EMPHATIC VICTORY!!!!
Since the moment they lost they were chanting religiously; you will suffer, you will suffer, you will suffer on April…because of Christmas Day..
Next game was indeed in Highbury. Guess what; they came on April and lost again. 1:0 to the Arsenal.
HOWEVER for the record, 😊it is true, they took the North Bank in 5 minutes.

I was a 14 year old then , squashed and thrown all over the place in the crowd the atmosphere in the away end was magical .The singing and the chanting was as one.and it will never be matched for me ever. When the King of Highbury put a bend and swerve on the ball I was right behind it. Brady could not done better if he used his hand to put it in the top corner . Miss those days the smell the experience and excitement of those derbies does not compare to what we get now a days.”And we shall sing forever more because of Boxing Day”.

First time I'm seeing these longer highlights. There are so many little fascinating details. I'd love someone to do a commentary focusing on all the chants. The Tottenham fans were trying so hard to keep it going but Arsenal kept scoring to shut em up lol. And I'd never seen Brady run to the Shelf after that wonder goal! He had all those awful shots from a similar position before then finally, "take that"!

      Great results last Saturday
The Juventus game you mentioned was good but i missed it .i went to all the other European games home and away the home game finished one all if i remember correctly.
I was unemployed at the time so i didn't go but i went to the final which was a bad week lost to West ham then valansia.

Was 15 at the time and went to this game, I remember leaving at 4-0 and heard the 5th goal just as we were walking down the Park Lane, hearing the Arsenal fans, painful, just before Christmas too. Never understood why the Republic of Ireland or Eire as they were known in the 70s had to wait until Jack Charlton becoming manager in 1986 to become a decent team qualifying for international tournaments and doing well in them when they had some top players pre-Jack like Brady, Stapleton and O' Leary, and I'm sure there were others at other clubs. We at Spurs had Chris Hughton around that time who became an Irish international.

Liam Brady still remains the greatest player ever to wear the Arsenal shirt! Such an unbelievable talent. ⚽️👏🏼👍🏼

I was at that match! Brilliant evening! Remember coming out afterwards and all of us going 'shhhhh' went very quiet as we knew there would be trouble. Cans, bottles coins raining down! ha ha. Good old days! Alan Sunderland's best performance for me, although overshadowed by Brady's special goal!

@r que what is it with you lot and violence, are you that thick to realise everyone had good and bad days. You go on like you are so tough. Absolute morons, always play the voilent card. Biggest mouths in football. No one likes you and your fans and as a football club. Give it a fucking rest with you and your so called army. It's embarrassing.

@r que yeah you lot are so tough. Is that all concerns you is the fighting aspects, mate grow up. And things move on as we all should. Football is way better nowadays, at least you can take your children to games without hopefully getting caught up in some stupid childish adults trying to knock 11bells of shite out if one another. Ive seen it all mate. Grow up with all this nonsense. Fucking donkeys all firms that are involved!!!!

Me too 16 at the away end after walking down Seven Sisters.
    What a day it was.
We all agree Arsenal are magic!
I can still hear the Terry Neil’s red and white army singing: Brady Brady always the king of Highbury…Allen Allen Sunderland…Willie for Scotland…Pat Jennings….Graham Rix Rixie…Stapleton…Stapleton…Pat Rice…
HOWEVER for the record, 😊it is true, they took the North Bank in 5 minutes

flaky spurs. still the same today. 40 yrs of flakiness. Something about the culture of the club and the mentality of the players they buy. Theyve never gone 20 or 25 games unbeaten.
