      as a kid i remember the FA cup being huge. I'm struggling to remember when it stopped being important, i know many point towards united withdrawing, but I'm not so sure. all i do know it's a sad competition these days. also why the fuck did they rebuild wembley?? I would love it if they gave the winner a champions league spot, but i can ever see that happening, plus there are many logical arguments why that is not a good idea. i don't care, i want to see people view the fa cup how we used to see it

    This perfromance will always prove that before Wenger came to Arsenal, Spurs were always the glamour team of north london. Arsenal were the league champions that season, but certainly not as pleasing on the eye as the mighty Spurs.

      @@shanet5604 I remember watching this match, Gazza was on speed, or something. He was on such a stupid high he got his come uppance when he seriously injured himself in the final, gave away a free kick which led to Forest going one up. He was a total liability, despite his goal.

    The magic of the FA Cup has gone now. Teams would rather qualify for the UCL than win the FA Cup. The build up to cup was such a great day, the songs, watching the coaches driving down to Wembly, speaking to celebrity football fans, this has all gone now. Money has spoilt the beautiful game.

    Bale the Money spurs made on bale ? Levi makes the best training ground with the best ground possibly the best manager and now we are heading towards certainly one of the best teams and people have only just stopped complaining about him.     .Now obviously Spurs fans were more happy with the result,but credit to Arsenal because they had a good team(and arguably man 4 man a stronger team,apart from.a few players)and played their part in a tremendous game!
    .So this is football not the nonsense what we are seeing today,loads of possession,really fast,no physicality,(with a light weight ball&no hard tackling every player looks like he can play for Brasil)..This was a fast paced Derby&semi final played hard&fast with total commitment!       Yes, 1993! Arsenal won both cups, as George Graham said when asked his thoughts about the title being beyond reach: "We're going for the cups this year". And we did, and we won! Followed by the European Cup Winners Cup the following year!

    - which team won the league that season by a canter, like the league isn't harder to win/more prestigious than a cup, right?
    - which club between us has the FA Cup more times?
    - how come this spurs team with genuine world class players like Gazza and Lineker wasn't as successful as Arsenal?
