Robert Pires what a player. It’s also emotional seeing Tony Adams lift his last league title after winning it 3 decades in a row. Mr Arsenal himself!
Ljunberg was so essential to the team.
Underrated!
Ljunberg = Gundogan 22/23 for city

Wiltord is criminally underrated!
Как и юнберг просто хороший игрок, но не топ уровень
No he's not.
I love Arsenal, always cheering since I was a kid here in Brazil #COYG
I love these videos. Notice how great Leeds was doing at the time? Very nostalgic to see how competitive they were at the time. And my god, what memories watching Arsenal play the way they did!
There's no any player that had even a little aspect of selfishness. They played as a team. We had enough and quality strikers. It was a joy to watch. We are coming back slowly
Bergkamp, Wiltord, King Thierry, Kanu, Pires, freddie always ready Ljungberg.
Attacking prowess was unreal. No team in the league's history come close.
I always thought pires was selfish
@@tracydoyle6 selfish when he was in the right place to score goals that's why he scored many goals from wing but otherwise he was an elite team player and passer of the ball
The last two matches for Arsenal in EPL were Man U and Everton, which are also the last two matches for Arsenal in 2023/2024 season. Maybe maybe not history repeats itself.
One thing I’m sure of is that history will repeat itself
Most definitely, fam coyg
This time also Arsenal defeated Man Utd at old Trafford , Everton at home.
Wiltord was so underrated
Absolutely!
He was brilliant, much more than just a scorer, a complete attacker. Scored many vital goals that season.
Totally agree. The beginning of the end was when he left after the Invincibles season
He was better than Ole Gunnar soljkaer for man united but media always hype up United players. If Wiltord was a United player, media would have called him Premier league legend and what not. Sometimes the bias towards certain club is unreal ..glad united are in the mud.
Only premier league side which scored goals in every fixture - 2001-02 Arsenal FC
No UCL tho
@@pepguardiola3739can't have everything - still won a double
Respect from a United fan
2001-02 Arsenal the only side who scored in every game in the EPL
2003-04 Arsenal the only side who had not lost a game in the EPL
This is a feat that not even the great Sir Alex Ferguson could accomplish with his strongest United team and his old enemy Arsene Wenger did.
@@pepguardiola3739At least them and utd won the league without oil money. Cheats city fc
@@despisesimps5997and here I thought city didn't have fans...😉
From a Man Utd fan, this is Arsenal’s greatest season. Nobody expects them to win the League and FA Cup Double but Wenger proved everyone wrong and they did it in style, clinching the Double of all places, against United at Old Trafford. The Invincibles of 2003/04 would never have existed without this team.
Not to mention we’d have won it the season before the invincible season after blowing up a 12 point lead to you guys, we’d have definitely done the three peat in the Epl era!
@@edokachukwuanugo2223Yep. Should've won it in 2002/03 comforably after we dominated for the most of the season. Our own fault, we let it slip away at the end.
Where you win it is more down to luck of the fixture scheduling it should NOT be included in the list of feats you say about the season. Arsenal always do that, "we won it at Anfield, we won it at OldTrafford, we won it at WhiteHartLane when we went invincible" it doesn't give them an extra 8 PL title's to go above ManUtd's overall number of league title's by saying those extra things. Technically ManUtd won at Highbury in 2002/03 when Arsenal failed to win despite ThierryHenry's offside brace he was given in such a game it put ManUtd in great position and they finished the job but I think the fact that ManUtd have won so many and they didn't often or ever mathematically confirm it at other big team's stadiums shows it's down to luck.
01/02 ManUtd had to win Arsenal could've drawn, ManUtd may not have lost the game if they didn't need to win plus ManUtd in ChampionsLeague again had an impact and helped Arsenal like it did in 97/98.
It's like when Chelsea bragged about holding bot ChampionsLeague & EuropaLeague trophies at the same time for a few days because this year's ChampionsLeague still has 3 days before being handed elsewhere and you've gone backwards in a season from ChampionsLeague winners to Europa winners and you didn't win anything else you thought you'd push for the PL etc...lol
Also Arsenal think their 97/98 PL was won more convincingly than ManUtd's in the following season when they won the treble. Because Arsenal got all their home games out of the way and their last 2 happened to both be sway games they'd usually lose anyway 😂 plus they needed to overtake a massive ManUtd lead that season where as 98/99 was always in ManUtd's hands.
@siberianTiger639
Let it slip because Arsenal were no where near good enough vs the top teams, theirs & ManUtd's record vs the eventual Top8 was chalk & cheese...Arsenal in the first 13 of 14 games vs Top8 14pts, 3 wins, 5 draws, 5 losses -4 GD and lost the title before then beating 8th Southampton at Highbury 6-1 to get their 4th win vs Top8 but only just finish them on plus GD by 1).
Compared to ManUtd's over double pts tally of 35 and +22GD (11 wins, 2 away 2-2 draws vs Chelsea & Arsenal where ManUtd had big decisions against them leading to either goals for the opposition or ManUtd not scoring more, and just one 1-0 loss away to Blackburn).
So actually ManUtd should've won it comfortably with those facts in mind.
Arsenal shouldn't have still been mathematically in it as late as game 36 so Arsenal didn't throw it away they just did well against not very good teams and poorly against better teams. Had ManUtd not won it with a record like that it would've much more so been them throwing it away.
Arsenal were better vs Top8 in FAcup though, that's why they won it by beating three Top8 teams.
The winners of both competitions was correct.
ManUtd also had a stronger ChampionsLeague campaign (and LeagueCup runners-up had knocked out Chelsea & Blackburn where as Arsenal were knocked out first hurdle at Highbury to Sunderland who finished bottom however they were a bit better first half of season then atrocious 2nd half that's why it was fair that Arsenal had already lost the title before playing Sunderland away who had already broken a record for longest losing streak but early in the season nicked a draw vs ManUtd when Sunderland weren't completely hopeless).
@FootkerSnooball
Stop hating, you sound stupid!
I remember those years well in 98 Arsenal pulled back a 12 point gap, in 99 Arsenal threw it away against Leeds and drew and United won the league by 1 point.
In 03 Arsenal drew too many towards the end of the season and drew against United, then lost to Leeds in the penultimate game! After knocking United out of the cup at OT earlier in the season.
Arsenal play modern football at that time, thats why i love arsenal 👍✅
Arsenal scored in every match during this season - a record feat
Yes but typically with Arsenal not a great record because it doesn't mean they didn't lose games.
@@FootkerSnooball But they won the league, and that's all that counts.
Arsenal were terrific during the second half of that campaign and winning the tittle at Old Trafford un the penultimate game
Some shocking results in this season.
Would not get away with that anymore as this season shows
Someone really should have a look at what's been going on. We can't be having this sort of thing for much longer I wouldn't have thought.
we got deservedly tonked by Charlton yes, though I remember it seemed every time they attacked they scored, Mr Wright lost his place in the Arsenal side that day - we didn't click until after the 1-1 at home v Southampton but after that we were unstoppable. Lots of other title winning sides didn't get it right off the bat either.
My favourite season it was so enthralling. Thanks for the upload!
This team had no idea what a clean sheet was. Just so attacking and enterprising.
This is the best Arsenal side that I ever saw United play against. I get people say the invincibles cause of the achievement. To me this side was superior. So hard to play against.
I think the 1998-1999 side. Our best ever. Even without winning anything. 1991, 1998 and 2002 are coming close second and third and forth. 2004....no chance.
This side was unreal but downplaying the quality of 2004 is silly and has become fashion.
1998 was unstoppable too. With overmars, Anelka, Petit, Wright ،Bergkamp . Just too much quality
@@goals27 I’m not downplaying them. They were a great team. I just thought the 2002 was better, played better football & was more dominant in games. 1998 team like you said probably was better aswell through their sheer toughness. I was only little with the 1991 team so I don’t remember but my dad has them down as the best ever Arsenal team. I put the amount of trophies won over record. Even though invincibles was a great achievement, I’d rather have an extra trophy in the cabinet.
@@seank135 But you can't say you don't rate them as high as 2002 because they were no as good in playing style then you also brought trophies argument to put them down as well. It feels like dishonesty and just want to diss their unbelievable achievement. So which one is it? Playing style ? Or trophies won? .
Playing style wise 2004 wasn't poorer in anyway to this 2002 team. If anything 2004 was even more adventurous, more attacking and had more style. ( I rate 2002 team very highly and winning the double can't be downplayed at all but as I said it's more of a fashion to diss 2004 team because their achievement was unreal, unparalleled so opposition fans especially take digs at that team because they know no one can replicate that ever).
I have heard alot about 91 team as well. That was legendary. But 1998 team was just too good. I am being totally honest 2004 and 1998 teams were two of the best teams and can beat any best united, Chelsea and city's teams of PL era.
@@goals27 no one’s dissing them. But they deff don’t beat Uniteds or City’s best teams. Thats just delusion.
I am a die hard Chelsea fan, and for me Arsenal are our most hated rival...but this particular season they were just fantastic. That team: Viera, Pires, Lundjberg, Henry, Bergkamp. World class.

I'm pretty sure this is the Bergkamp vs Newcastle & Pires vs Villa season
What a goal by pires, he was a real genius
i still to this day remember kanu's hat trick to win the match for arsenal who were losing.
Not to detract from Arsenal going the whole season unbeaten, Only twice in the 19 seasons since then have the Champions had fewer wins and that
was Man Utd and Leicester with 23
The only team to go unbeaten in all their away games
Then some people will say Son and Kane is the best combination in premier league history. Beckham was something else.
The system looked so different where its hard to single out who's midfielders, and attackers.
Son and Kane are also runs. Nothing more nothing less.
Kanu is phenomenal
How I wish I could go back to August 18 01

Fifa has a debt of champions league title to Arsenal
@@rhimnbiyev8635 yes , in 2006 Jens Lehmann was wrongly sent off, and Arsenal ultimately lost that final narrowly with 10 men.
@@rhimnbiyev8635 Champions League is UEFA, not FIFA. And I'm pretty sure that to win it, you have to score more goals than your opponent, which Arsenal didn't manage. So there's that on top.

Because it's to do with luck of the fixture scheduling and not a skill based achievement. Arsenal always brag about feats no one cares about 😆
If ManUtd have 10 more PL's and haven't officially confirmed it at those grounds that confirms it's just about LUCK (not that WhiteHartLane or even Arsenal away should have much significance to ManUtd, Stamford bridge likewise).
But 2002/03 ManUtd did virtually win it at Highbury. Late in the season ManUtd were just above Arsenal going into the game so Arsenal needed to win to put it in their hands and despite 2 offside ThierryHenry goals they still failed to win then Campbell elbowed Solskjaer before the end got sent off & suspended for the rest of the season, ManUtd as expected finished the job last few games while Arsenal were hit&miss in them.
Also ManUtd's record in general vs the Top5 teams was very good. Loads of goals as well 👌 Even better record than Arsenal vs Top8.

Lol, I wondered about that too😅 I started following the club right at the end of that season.
