Still hurts 18 years later. Who knows, we could go one step further with team we have now. COYG!!!!!!!
It's on mind like it happened yesterday
Maybe this year could be the year
Mikel has got us Gooners believing again God bless that man
Bayern will destroy arsenal. Wait longer
I think this year the champions is for arsenal good luck
18 years later and as an Arsenal supporter, I'm still not over that Final...and probably never will be.
I'm liverpool & bayern munich fans i watch this final for me i cant believe how arsenal lose this match with 10 players amazing😢
Arsenal didn't lose Arsenal was robbed in a bright day.
RIP Reyes. Your service will not be forgotten
You realise he KILLED another person!?
He was driving at 116mph and killed his 23 year old cousin.
Why are you treating him like a hero? 🫵🤦♂️

knocking "Galacticos" out of the competition...... 10 men Arsenal scoring first against Barca..... what a UCL season that was.....
Lens Lehman was underrated he made so many good saves after him arsenal never had a quality keeper for years
@@rashidkhalid3970 Losing Jens in Paris really fucked us he was on fire that season and replacing him with Almunia really didn't help

What about the ref decision to allow Lehman's save to stand? Against Villareal. @@chiemelalevi4270

damn, the final is one of the most hurtful moment i've experienced while being an arsenal fan. i didnt sleep at all after that match and still whining over it on my national exam day.
Да есть такое ,я заканчивал школу выпуск 2006
Even me dat I was 6yrs that time
It pains me nw as Arsenal fan
O2 Arsenal 06 has a special place in my heart. They were the most attractive team ever in my personal opinion. Shame they lost the final. and im a liverpool fan.
So painful for we Arsenal fan till date ❤😢
So painful for we Arsenal fans till date ❤😢
The most attractive ever 😂😂
yea
That won nothing
Kids need to go back and watch Henry tapes, the man was a monster on the pitch
true, but it´s a shame he didn´t go through for us in that final. He missed several chances and shots.

Love Henry more than anyone but these clips show how many chances he did miss throughout the competition, not just the final. Still our greatest ever player though. Let’s hope we go one further this year
If you watch full matches you will see every single goal scorer misses multiple chances a game
Henry was an amazing player but he bottled that final These highlights don't show the other misses he had in that game.
Hendri akhirnya merasakan juara ucl tim yg mengubur nya di final ucl 2006 . . .

Barca fan here.
I actually enjoyed using that Arsenal team on Fifa 06, that was a damn good team they had.
This final still hurts.
That Arsenal team was the best team in that UCL season.
If only Almunia closed his legs.
Closed his legs 🤣🤣🤣
@ekeohurudaniel2064 he means for Barcas second goal😂😂
Barcelona were the best team in Europe that season.
They shut down Madrid, Juventus and Villarreal. Unreal.
What a defense that was
Toure, Campbell, Cole and Lauren.
The final still hurts, but I'll always be proud of how that team fought and toiled with 10-men against a side that good.
Why didn't he play Bergkamp or Perez in the final?
@@Mossaab-kg3cj5hc5s Pires started but was subbed when Lehmann got sent off.
Bergkamp was very much a rotation player by this point and I guess Arsene chose not to use him.
@@adamappleton4631Why was Bergkamp a rotation player at this point, age?
@@backup6355 that's right. Henry was there, Van Persie was coming through. I think the Champions League final was Bergkamp's last ever game besides his testimonial.
He retired at the end of the 2006 season.
Why did the ref giv lehmann a red card instead of playing advantage and allowing the goal?
I miss those times. Football back then was more passion and pure class.
Aaaah… one of my worst and Best Night… this is the day I fell in love with Arsenal Football Club.. Bittersweet Night of Football 😢❤
Watching this when we are now in the quarter finals really hurts.... May we go through this one successfully
Amen ❤ 🙏🏽 😊
amen to that❤❤
It still fucking hurts. I cried after watching this game. 😢
So did me. I support man city now though.
7 years old. Remember it like it was yesterday 🙃, genuinely the first time I was heartbroken in my life.
Да время быстро летит ,как будто в этом мае играли
This still hurts me to this day. When Eto equalized I went out coz I couldn't take any more. Then I heard screams hoping we scored and won. Ran back only to see Barcelona celebrate. Best memories, Still love arsenal
I can still remember, The most difficult game was the Villarreal away from home , in the final when Campbell scored somebody I don’t know from anywhere lifted me up as a burnt offering out of excitement
Thierry Henry prime + Reyes , van Persie , Ljunberg , Pires , beautiful T90 t shirts for the last season on highbury the best arsenal in history
18 years later, I haven't forgiven Almunia
That’s the one we should have won. Amazing team. So unlucky
They weren’t unlucky, the lost fair and square.
Of you didn't have the biggest bottle job in finals history, you may have won

This Arsenal squad deserved a champions league trophy... Still heartbroken to date
RIP reyes and Flamini rich
Both goals could’ve been saved.
Definitely
Lens Lehman was underrated he was arsenal last great keeper after seaman
On God man Lehmann in that CL campaign was like a man possessed not conceding a single goal in the knockout stages gets sent of and his replacement was fumbling Almunia *sigh*
Nobody is saving Eto'o one on one bro. But the Belketti goal definitely saved.
Eto'o scored a similar goal 3 years later in Rome vs Manchester United in the 2009 CL final, but this time with the outside of the foot as opposed to the inside. He was deadly.
Good memories (ignoring the final) lets go one better this year🙌
Nostalgia overload! Actually makes me emotional, for one this all looks so old and makes me feel so old and two this was a team like no other! None have managed to do what we did! Fingers crossed the gunners will keep up 2024’s form!
It's so nice conversing with people with actual football knowledge instead of the idiots on instagram who's vocabulary doesnt stretch further then cry and bottle
Couldnt forget that season! Beating that Madrid team was the beginning of something magical. Juve and Vieira were defeated in that vengeful envounter. Plus that resilient villareal team. Barca were good, but never as good as the then Arsenal team.
Why do I feel like football those days was more entertainin and more thrilling?
Those Henry goals were amazing ... as usual. Coming from a Chelsea fan. What a player! The best the Premier League has ever seen.
Convinced if we had stayed at highbury for 5 more years after this final instead of moving and selling our best players, we would have won this competition.
Hopefully, we finally win the UCL this season.
COYG❤❤
Could’ve just defend the 1 up

No
Reyes remember RIP
One crucial part of the game that i dont see alot of people talk about and they should is Etos run which led to Jens getting sent off was actually offside
No VAR then 😢
@@chinedumichael6925 fucking sucks man it really does we winning that match would have changed everything for us and Wenger would have been a Champions League winner PAAAAIINNNN!!!

2024, as an Arsenal fan this still hurt a lot. Also, the 2006 Arsenal squads is way more stacked and more complete than Arsenal 2020s.

Sol champel,Gilberto silva,Pires,Henry,Ljundberg,Reyes, flamini,Bergkamp,van persie,Lehman,fabregas,Viera,
I’m a United fan but that run to the final was Hollywood. I was gutted when the gooners failed at the last. I always support English teams in the final except when the plastics are there
Bergkamp could've retired as a champions league winner.
Pires would've stayed for the Emirate era
Henry would've stayed instead of going Barcelona
Young guns like cesc and rvp would've felt more belonging at Arsenal
That 9 years trophyless period might have never happened.
ONLY if we won in Paris. It still hurts.
Arsenal need someone like henry , a player who can just score out of nothing and doesn't ghost in big games
If vieira was in this arsenal side then we would have won it comfortably against barca without being robbed 🥺
Hahaha. Delusional.
Yes you are Wright Patrick he could help us
This was the season I fully started supporting the Gunners, knowing Mr Wenger is the owner
I still remember crying my eyes out at that final
Arsenal masa kejayaan. Bertabur bintang saat tahun itu. Ciri khas tendangan Henry yang maut. Fabregas muda. Dan RIP untuk Reyes.
I missed my Calculus 2 final and failed my class just to watch that CL final. I passed the class the next semester but man the day Arsenal loss was a double loss for me. If only Lehmann never got the red card :( That was my favorite run by any team ever. They had upset EVERYONE on their way to the final
Arsenal FC Forever
When we start focusing more on our memories than on our dreams, that's when we realize we have grown old.
The only time we got to the final is when we played defensive, that tells you everything, every time we tried to play beautiful attacking football we got knocked out,we need to play like in European championship Greece, Portugal won the tournament, efficient in counter attack with tight defense and ugly football.
The best football night of my entire life, the sweetest of all our five champions league successes. Suffered like hell though.
2024 let's go 🎉
😢😢😢 it's very emotional we were almost there
Терри Анри, Деннис Беркамп, Роберт Пирес.
Игроки мирового класса. Сколько эмоции они подарили нам.
Most surprising thing I remember was that Senderos played in most of these games 😂🙈
Her very solid in the UCL run
Was very solid
How many clean sheets they got?
Every team on that era is full of star player. Unbelieveable 😮
Just rewatched this after 18 years and I cried after the final like it was now 😔
This year will complete me after the year I’ve had.
COYG ❤️
Still hurts man. Hurts real bad.
Days gone I don't think will ever come back. See the condition of my Chelsea today, in shambles giving no hope. That competitive f/ ball is not existent any more. The Henrys, the Carlos ,Drogbas, the........... all gone
Shocking decisions to send the GK off just let it play on???
Seems obvious you play advantage, let goal stand and yellow for Lehman. I’d have taken that and be convinced we win
I remember to three moments:
- Henry goal vs Real Madrid.
- Sol Campbell goal in the final and
- Unfortunate Jens Lehmann and his red card in the final.
Arsenal The Great!
We shall surely win the UCL!
The time is fast approaching.
Once we did it
That trophy will be ours!!!
❤️🤍
Pain full years for Thierry Henry. He missed World Cup & champions league 😢
Couldn't watch the final v Barcelona. Still too painful. The first time I ever cried for a football team. That said, didn't even remember we beat Villareal on our way to the final. Nice throwback.
Henry 😍
In this era Arsenal is my best
Thierry Henry’s movement and connection with the ball was so fucking elegant man.
Henry was scoring for fun until the final. Easy goals on a good day was difficult to score. We were so unlucky. Still hurts till this day.
Come this time, any limitations that hindered Arsenal not to win,are broken in Jesus Name,,,We gonna win UCL
This is pure football/art nothing like the machanic nonsense we're watching now.
football is still good pal
Henry and Fabregas were awesome together
Has to be said.
That was our trophy, i still blame Wenger, for playing Ashly cole, yet Flamini had played well in previous matches, also for removing Pires instead of Lumberg. Pires would have scored a goal any time!
Ref gave Barcelona all the chances to win. A sending off when he could have let the goal stand and kept the game 11 against 11 and then to compound the corruption, he allows a blatant offside goal to stand. Now we all know Barcelona were literally bribing officials in this era. Disgraceful club!
The ref disallowed a Barcelona goal which would have put Barcelona 1-0 up. The ref f..ked over both teams. Stop crying.
@@D93-w5q that disallowed goal for barca doesn't vindicate or on the same level as offside to the build up of the goal that was scored by barca that led to the red card. Eto was off. The ref handicapped arsenal and handed Barcelona the trophy. Its not about crying, its about injustice and corruption. But the same old typical response from someone who wasnt on the wrong end of the decision that is huge is "stop crying".
If you think being down to 10 men in the first half is better than being 1-0 down, then your football IQ is very low. Also, I noticed that you didn't comment on the blantanly offside equaliser. You Helmet. @@D93-w5q
@iijumunjii Arsenal went 1-0 up with 10 Men after getting a free kick that wasn't a free kick when Eboure dived.
Henry missed two 1 on 1. Arsenal had chances to kill the game when they were 1-0 up and they wasted them.
Like I said, the referee screwed over both teams. Arsenal have no one else to blame but themselves for not killing the game. Again, stop crying.
Bro let me tell as someone who watched this Barcelona team get built from scratch.. The last thing you wanted vs THIS Barcelona team was for them to have their tails up, had they hone 1-0 up, It would've been the longest 90min in Arsenal history, Barcelona could score 4 or 5 goals in 30 min, they were simply unstoppable when they had their confidence up, that's why they could score and equalizer and a winner within minutes of each other.
In 2005 Samuel Eto'o scored an equalizer vs AC Milan and after that I saw Barcelona toying with the best team in the world, they did something similar to Real Madrid when Ronaldinho got a standing ovation and they dispatched of Mourinho's back to back league winning Chelsea once they got the lead very easily.
Believe me when I say that you did NOT want that Giuly goal to stand, they would've ripped you apart 😂😂
Might be this year final Barcelona vs Arsenal 😮
Such a joy to watch.
Arsenal have the best defensive record then and now we just need a striker like Henry..
What a journey.. It's criminal we didn't win it that year.
Unfortunate Jens Lehmann and his red card in the final 😔
I miss this team😢
People talk about Arsenal's lack of European pedigree but they've had some rotten luck in finals, losing on penalties in 1980 and 2000, the freak last kick of the game Nayim goal in 1995 and of course losing Lehmann early in the CL final here, could very easily have won 5/6 European trophies rather than the 2 (If you include the old Fairs Cup) they have won.
2005-2006 never forget 😢🎉
I stop the video at 10:37 as he looks back at the trophy. So many life lessons to learn from that moment and Arsenal in general.
#COYG
Great Arsenal team. Bergkamp, Van Persie and Henry to name but 3. What was going on with that home kit though! Was it an anniversary thing??
Substitution of henrick larsson is the turning point
Lehmman was the best goalkeeper at that time
As a United fan, I was very sad watching the final. They deserved to win
When we get an attack like this, we carry it.. But currently, that front is wanting
I still maintain to this day that Eto'o was offside
Si hubiera justicia en el futbol, el arsenal deberia tener una champions !!
Arsenal never trailed in a single game until that final goal. Wow that is an achievement by it's own
When football had its own and original teste
This team should be won ucl,

The referee screwed over both teams. Arsenal especially Henry didn't kill the game at 1-0. They had chances to kill the game even with 10 Men. Arsenal have no one else to blame for their defeat but themselves.
Arsenal should have won that final. Going 1-0 up with ten men and having a number of chances. You could see they were the better team. Still haunts me. Just imagine how Mr Arsenal feels, T. Henry, that he wasn’t able to do it with the Arsenal.
