Ipswich a class act
one of those matches where manu were beaten black and blue....poor bailey stopped 3 penalties(one of them retaken) and some last ditch clearences stopped them from conceiving more
Don't you mean conceding?
Ah, the old days, when Manchester United had a decent team.
Decent team? They got fucking hammered.
utd runners up that yr
@@geoffreycliff7020 Sarcasm?
If The Doc had still been in charge, they might just have won the title that season.
Fantastic team 🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜
at least our 7.0 battering doesnt sound so bad now
🤣🤣🚜🚜🚜🚜👍💙
Wow, Gary Bailey saved two penalties in a row, and three in the game...
Well three awful penalties
The great Ipswich city FC managed by the legendary Bobby Robertson! What a team
That was Ipswich Town, surely?
NOT Ipswich City
Are you taking the piss? So legendary you can't get the name of the team or the manager correct!
It was Bobby Robson, surely
Lmfao
Cant stand Utd, but those fans singing We'll support you evermore when they were five nil down. Fair play to them. Not like the plastic Man Ure fans of today.
A good deal of United fans back in them days were travelling from Yarmouth.
i was at primary school in London when we did this 🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜
10:55 How Jimmy Nichol wasn't sent off here is a mystery a dirty foul then kicks the ball at Big Al..THEN DIVES IN TO GIVE THE 2ND PENALTY AWAY.....CLEARLY HE WANTED HIS MARCHING ORDER'S
Rumour has it Giggs was nearly on the bench
Pozdrawiam Ipswich Town z Polski Szczecin-Słoneczne do boju
Bad day for Man Utd.
I think the high light was when Jimmy Nicholl playing for man u kicked the ball at the Ipswich player 10.47 or so and called him a Twat lmfao pure class from the Belfast Man
Now you cant beat Barrow. Oh deary me how the mighty have fallen
I'd forgotten what a brilliant player Ashley Grimes was. On his day, better than Messi.
Messi would have scored 20 past this Man Utd team.
I beg to differ dude,no way hose,different era dude,way harder dude.13>1.Amen.
Kun Aguero would have scored 40 against this red rabble.
Bailey would've saved any penalties ;)
Εκπληκτική ομάδα η ίπσουιτς της διετίας 79 80 έπαιζε εκπληκτικό ποδόσφαιρο
We had a good striker then!
Super team 🚜🚜🚜🚜
Bit of an urban myth that Bailey saved 3 penalties. One was taken twice so regardless if he saved the one that didn't count it was only 2. What was most astonishing was keepers didn't wear gloves those days! LOL!
No urban myth pal , he did save 3 penalties regardless of whether they count or not the fact is 3 penalty kicks were taken & 3 saved.
Never seen such inept defending by a First Division side, not even one headed for relegation. Had I been a United fan at the time, I would have demanded an investigation. Could gambling interests have affected the outcome?
epic days
Broke down on the way to the game.Thank fuck for that but had an enjoyable day in a pub in Wisbech instead.
