Glad it helped!
Hi, I owned an 08 civic SI and I spliced just one of those SWC wires, read somewhere you only need to connect one of them but it didn't work... I'll try connecting the second wire and hopefully it will work.... Thanks for a great informational video
You'll probably need to ground one wire and connect the other one to a key wire on the ATOTO. There's a diagram on this page that will show you where the 2 steering wheel wires are: www.autoharnesshouse.com/hondacivic.html
@@autoharnesshouse I connected my car 2 swc wires to the Atoto but it didn't worked. Tomorrow I'll try grounding one of the wires and test it. Thanks for all the help
@@autoharnesshouse I just grounded one of the SWC wires and it worked. I finally got my steering controls back 😅. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge and pointing me in the right direction. 👍
Hi there could you please advise which wire colours you attached on the Subaru and which colour you ground. Thanks
Great video. Does your car have another information screen for vehicle system which needs inputs from the SWC? I wonder if that works after installing the ATOTO.
The BRZ doesn't have another screen that uses the steering wheel buttons. Normally if the car has a separate screen that uses the steering wheel buttons, then those buttons are only for that separate screen. For example, newer Crosstreks and Imprezas have steering wheel buttons for the adaptive cruise and other info that will display on the center dash display by the speedometer. Those buttons are wired to the "combination meter" (dash cluster) but the audio buttons are wired to the headunit. This means that they won't interfere and all works as it should. We've seen problems come up when there are "dual use" buttons on the steering wheel that serve different functions (like a volume control that's also used scroll on a vehicle menu). Hope that helps!
I just installed my s8. On my Toyota steering wheel I have buttons for hanging up on a phone call as well as making a call. Whi h icons in the S8 SWC setup do I choose? Sorry I wasn't smart enough to figure that out.
Do you know what voltage your supposed to be getting. I have a Honda Accord Euro (same as Accord 7) and an Android Head unit. On my screen it says key0 2.7v but the sw learning software does not recognize that I am holding down the steering wheel button. Furthermore, the voltage does not seem consistent, it rather turns off and on. This occured after i did a factory reset.
I would like to swap steering wheel buttons, because mine hasn't got the voice assistant dedicated button. Is there anything I can do?
Thanks, very helpful info. Can you tell me the function of the 4 buttons with a phone icon on them? Cant find a reference to them in the manual.
I'm not sure what the 2 buttons are that have a "K" next to them. The other 2 are "Answer" and "Hang Up"
Hi! Is this enough for a gt86 my17? Do the parking sensors also work?
Dang, i wish i found this before i hooked mine up in my 2010 Accord Lx.
Could i just splice in before the connector from the car?
You can probably just splice it or if you know what you need, email us and I'll look to see if I can send you wired pins to slide into the connector...that way you don't have to cut up the factory wiring (inquiry@autoharnesshouse.com)
I have a 2014 gmc yukon, can u help me getting the swc to work?
Can you tell me which wires and harness from the stock radio are for the steering wheels and which pins they go into into Atoto? Thanks
I need to know the model and year of your car. The wiring for the car's steering wheel buttons will be different depending on your vehicle.
How about a video for pre-2013 Tacomas.
I don't have a pre-2013 Tacoma to demonstrate this on but we do have wiring adapters to fit the that Tacoma:

Toyota vellfire radio steering control please not working help
I have a very similar app on my head unit. The text is red and it tells me to press and hold a button. Once i press a button it activates whatever the button was already set to do. If i press an unassigned button, the text won't change from red on the screen. I don't know what to do...
Is this an ATOTO headunit or another brand? Most of these cheap Chinese units have bad documentation but you may have some luck doing a factory reset and starting over.
How do you get the beeping to stop when you turn the volume up?
There is a setting in the setup for this in the ATOTO. I agree...The beep is annoying.
no hyundai/kia information? one the most sold autos in the us?
We do build custom adapters for Hyundai or Kia vehicles. If you need something custom, please email us. We don't have the data on the www.autoharnesshouse.com/mycar.html page yet though.
Good video, but could be more informative. I have same atoto unit and cannot make it work with Kia Rondo 2007 which has an analog SWC (resistors + buttons = different voltage with atoto unit). In their manual, Atoto do not mention anything about top menu (red) changing color to yellow when SWC (Steering Wheel Control) button pressed. This video should have a bit of explanation why you've used three wires to connect to Atoto. Again, Atoto does not clearly explain how many wires are needed. It is either 1, 2 or 3 one of which would be ground. One has to wonder why we need to connect ground separately from SWC as Atoto is already grounded. Atoto has only one ground, it does not have a separate SWC and illumination ground as original Kia radio has. I wish I did more bench testing before installing radio into car. But .. there are number of things that yet does not work and I've wanted to have radio playing musing in the car and not sitting on the bench due to short warranty. I have Kia SWC wiring diagram, it is very simple and Atoto is not clear what to do with ground.
Hi, we don't connect one of the ATOTO wires to ground. The ATOTO headunit has 2 input wires for the steering wheel buttons. The Subaru and Toyota steering wheel buttons have 3 wires (2 signal wires and 1 common). In our direct adapters, we connect the common to ground and the 2 signal wires go to the 2 input wires on the ATOTO headunit. (no resistor is needed)
We can't possibly cover the wiring for every vehicle in one youtube video. If you need help, contact our support team and they'll be able to help you sort it out. inquiry@autoharnesshouse.com
