Okay so here is my final thing on the album St. Anger
So I caved in and bought the St. Anger CD since they were on Metallica's Website, Main reason is every copy of the CD (to this day) also gives you a DVD where the band plays the entire album live in their HQ, so basically the same album twice but for half the price (And I also picked up the Live album S&M2, AWMH on that record is Godly)
So today when I was driving to my Walmart to pick up stuff....I see a damn St. Anger Vinyl in stock....THE SAME DAMN DAY I ORDER MY CD COPY, WHAT THE HELL
(Oh and Metallica's New album but that's expected plus I already have 72 Seasons)

Great rendition of one of my favourites from St. Anger, fantastic quality, loved almost every change(especially snare), except for chorus. Idk, it simply doesn't pump me up the same way orginal does, maybe due to the different tempo of bass drums. KILL part is awesome, gives another side to an already great(yes, I said that) part. While the original turns primal, primitive by this point giving you an impression of the whole song, album, band falling apart, losing it which I like, your edition keeps it professional, with an addition of a great riff! Damn, can't really pick which ending I like more!

While I do know the full scope of what was going on with the band at the time, I just don't find James' mental breakdowns to be enjoyable, so I had to minimize them for my version of the album. The idea behind doing the "kill" part that way, is because like you said, is more professional, and it's also the kind of thing that would be insane with a stadium full of people. Like if we remove the legitimate pain from the songwriting, performances, and mix, it's just a pissed metal album and that's all we really want. 😅
