Hey! I just wanted to say that i am really happy that i found youre channel! I see a lot of the same books in video's by other booktubers and i love that i get to know different books on youre channel! I'm loving that you promote thrifting books and that you show me and youre audience so many books that aren't the typical 'popular' books. I was kinda getting sick of seeing the same books over and over again just because they are 'in fashion'. So thank you for opening up youre bookshelf and making this content!!
I'm happy that you found it too! That's really nice to hear, I love finding lots of books that maybe most people, including me, haven't read in a while or haven't heard of ever - thank you so much
I’ve read several of the translated works of Sappho but Anne seems to have translated the most in such a great way. I’ll definitely be picking up that book :) thank you!
yay - I'm taking part for the first time this year too and I'm so excited! Magizoologist sounds so fun and definitely sounds perfect for you! Aw, I really fancy a Prisoner of Azkaban reread now! not sure why but the various ways of saying "does this have a beak on it" had me in creases! Silence of the Girls arrived today and I'm so excited to read it with you all
Ravenclaw!!! And i’m also very happy that i found your channel because I have been trying to get into more classics and such because I don’t read enough of them!
Your videos only get better and better😩 I looooved this one!! It seems so fun and I might participate next year. And all the puns and jokes in this video were golden. You had me cracking up many time. Also, CHEERS TO 3K CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🥺🥺🥺🥺💕💕💕
I am so excited for this O.W.L.s readathon. I don't know how I haven't heard of this before but I am going for a magizoologist career too! Good luck and I hope you have a great time with it :) looking forward to seeing your vlogs!
I'm so glad I saw your video I'd heard about this readathon and followed the twitter but I had totally forgotten till I saw this! Ravenclaw let's go!!!
aaaa! ravenclaw is gonna crush it!!!!! i'll be reading along with you :) i might fight you about the bird on the sun also rises counting as a beak though.........
G is the best! The magical readathon is soooo amazing too. I did magizoologist last year and am choosing the auror career for this year plus animagus training and dragon tamer :)
Yay I’m so happy you are doing this readathon. I’m also a Ravenclaw. I am actually a hat stall between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, but I feel like I fit in more towards Ravenclaw. My career is Trader of Magical Tomes and I and also going for merpeople linguistics and animagus training. I am going to try and do all of the 12 prompts. I did 11/12 last year so we will see. Good luck to you! Hope all goes well with your concussion and everything. I hope you are able to enjoy April to the fullest extent 💕
Loved this. I'm also doing magizoology since I am animal obsessed turned out to be an interesting challenge using my bookshelves at home instead of uni so I don't have as many book. Turned out I have a grand total of one unread book which is shorter than 150 pages so I'll be reading that one.
I literally just found your channel, and found out that you are an english major and so am i and i also choose magizoologist as my career and from all your vids I've seen we have such similar interest in books!!! So happy i found you!
* e m m i e * I’m a Slytherin! and for my career I’m reading The Foundling by Stacey Halls (a historical fiction), Validate Me by Charly Cox (a poetry collection), The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater, Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman and A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas. I’m so excited to get started!
Ohh, this is one of my favourite readathons and I'm definitely participating. Team Ravenclaw here too! I'm going for the history of magic professor in Hogwarts because I'm practically becoming a history teacher (hopefully) in the future. I love Sappho so much and I think that translation is the best but I have only read Sappho in Finnish. And Anne of Green Gables is so GOOD! Good luck on the readathon. Let's hope it will be a good one for both of us! x
@@emmiereads My undergrad thesis was on medieval female mystics and I'm currently working on my grad thesis on the same line, though focusing a lot more on fasting! But I also have a soft spot on 19th century Britain as I love Victorian literature.
I'm doing Healer and then doing the Mermaid Linguistics seminar. Books for the Healer career are: 1. Herbology - The Masterpiece by Francine Rivers; 2. Charms - When We Were Very Young by A.A. Milne; 3. DADA - The Glass Ocean by Beatriz Williams; 4. Potions - Abominable Snowman by R.A. Montgomery; 5. Transfiguration - The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle; 3 other subjects are: 6. Divination - 19 Minutes by Jodi Picoult; 7. History of Magic - Chronicles of Narnia bk 1 by C.S. Lewis; 8. Muggle Studies - Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry; Mermaid Linguistics: Herbology - Music on the Wind by Eddie Askew
I enjoyed this so much🌻!! I'm still debating whether I want to join the readathon because I don't have access to my shelf right now ... But I might reread childhood favourites?🧚🏼♀️ Stay safe! And greetings from Germany. If you ever decide to start studying German I'd love to help you!
Definitely reread childhood faves, which ones do you have?? You as well, and oh my gosh yes that would be amazing, I'll let you know when I find time to start picking the language up! Thank you so much for the offer
@@emmiereads I am currently re-reading The Mysterious Benedict Society but I'd also love to link up the Inkheart Trilogy or The Never-ending Story 🌼 You're very welcome! Feel free to text me whenever you're ready😊

That's a really good tbr. Can't wait to hear about your thoughts on these books. (Probably a stupid question but) will you be vlogging through the readathon? I decided to participate because as you said, people need something to do and because for the first time I actually can. I chose to go for Ministry Worker, especially the Department of Mysteries. Always thought it would be really cool to work there. Hope you are well and having a good day!
