    I watched the trial every day. It was absolutely maddening. The utter disregard for the victims and lack of respect just proved how evil Darrell Brooks is. RIP to the 6 murdered and prayers for all those physically and mentally traumatized for life bc of what this criminal did. I was amazed at how respectful the victims who were exposed to cross examination by Darrell Brooks handled themselves with such dignity bc honestly if he hurt my children, I don't think I could have sat there calmly the way they did. Justice is yours today!

    This team, including the Judge did a great job. I live on the other side of the world in South Africa and I was so emotionally invested in this case as if I'm from that city. I knew there was no way he could be found not guilty even though it was obvious he tried to throw the case but I was still extremely relieved when I heard the verdict. I've never seen anything like this trial, it was shocking to witness his disrespect to all and the lack of remorse. I don't know how one ever can get over the loss but you do get used to the empty space, not that it makes it less painful. I also think of those still struggling to heal from their physical and emotional wounds. Love to all the victims.

    You might as well have sentenced the murderer to 1 Life Sentence. What’s the difference? They announce it like it’s a huge verdict. Yes, the time given is substantial but he only has one life to give. We need the Death Penalty for these types of abominable offenses.

    • @AWC1989
      @AWC1989 Год назад

      .....Correct me if I'm wrong, but a life sentence is 25 years. Then you're eligible for parole though not that you will get it. So 6 consecutive life sentences would be 150 years, and then 859 years of confinement on top of that. That is the courts way of saying rot in prison you piece of trash.
      .....My own take is save taxpayers money, and execute him with the electric chair or firing squad.

    This prosecution team was EXCELLENT!!! Her request at the end to ALLOW him to give his closing EVEN THO he’ll still bring up the topic was brilliant. It protected a possible appeal. Altho it was appalling having to listen to him talk about HIS PAIN AND SUFFERING, his lying about religion saying God caused this to happen!! Any Christian walking a true path with God knows He does not cause bad things to happen!! Disgusting!!
    And I’ve said this before, but this judge has the patience of Job!! She handled him so well!! Viewing his total disrespect for the judge, prosecution and victims, I do not see how an appeal could be granted unless some law was drastically broken. But I think the team and the judge diligently tried to cover all that thru the trial.
    He deserves the death penalty, but this state does not have that. So the taxpayers will be TAKING CARE OF THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE AS LONG AS HE LIVES. AND, he will not be “safe” in any prison in this country. He can thump that Bible all he wants to…..

    Question, how can he file an appeal on grounds of not competent enough/mentally ill to be his own lawyer by his actions, and trying to portray himself as crazy, when in fact all his other court cases he did not act out or act mentally ill in those cases, in the beginning of this trial before he and his mother devised a plan to say he was crazy and mentally ill. he was acting respectable so, I guess what I'm asking is if he wasn't mentally ill during all his other cases and acted respectable from the rap sheet, he has, how they can say he is mentally ill now? when only after it was said he was mentally ill and did everything he and his mom discussed with delaying the case as long as possible.
