Just went to Nashville for the first time. Saw Sierra sing a couple songs at a honky tonk bar on a Wednesday night AFTER SHE HAD PERFORMED A SOLD OUT SHOW AT RYMAN THEATRE the same night. I had never heard of or seen of her before but she is the real deal and a genuine authentic artist and as down to earth as anyone you'll ever hear or see
That was across the alley from the Ryman called Robert’s Western. You’re so lucky you caught her there. Next time you go, try the fried Bologna sandwich. It’s one of the few treasures we still have downtown.
Sierra, this song is not only the best you've ever written, which is a testament to your abilities, but it is as beautiful as a Beatles song or a Tom Waits ballad. This is some of the best music I have ever heard.
I love that she always costumes it up on stage- that voice of hers has a soul healing in it. This girl's pure light- I think her eccentric outfits are her armour. She's not of this realm but I'm so grateful she's here with us.... 💙
The Dolly comparisons are understandable but Dolly never rode freight trains, lived on the street or in a van busking and dancing with the hard drug devil to get to where she is now. I would venture to say she could be the next Patsy Cline but Sierra writes her own songs! That recent Ryman show is already legendary- and the audience knew it!
@@hollythomas1344 works for me! She is truly incomparable - but Nashville and the country music industry is largely about chart positions, ‘product’ sales, and how many seats you can fill when touring (and of course pushing your latest album). The Pink Floyd classic “Have a Cigar” pretty much spells it out - “We call it riding the gravy train!” After 50+ yrs of playing live music, I’m a bit touchy about getting caught up in comparisons (“opinions are like a**holes - everybody’s got one!”) Musicians are not competing athletes with performance statistics to compare- box office $$$ and popularity are a weak measure of the artist’s musicianship- is Taylor Swift the best country artist Evah?? The ‘numbers’ might say so but she can’t remain drop-dead gorgeous, unmarried and a teen heart throb forever- AND she’s a gifted songwriter with a (by now) polished voice and performance style. She’s earned it and I wish her all the best- but if you asked me to pick one I’d say without any hesitation- SIERRA RULES! What you see and hear is her willingly baring her soul to us - the Truth and nothing but the Truth! 🫶
at exactly one and a half seconds in, Sierra Ferrell exhales a "Well, here goes nothing" breath. You can see it, her shoulders. Like... very personal song... Sierra Ferrell had to break through a lot of internal resistance ... "Is this really a good idea?" Sierra Ferrell broke through - and I'm GLAD about it. a 25-second video: ruclips.net/video/-sBYdr2yEeM/видео.html thanks 2 Vickie Winans
What she's talking about at the start is emotional bypass. It's a lot of trauma therapy to get to actual forgiveness and many trauma informed therapists don't actually advocate forgiveness as a goal, they advocate you processing what happened and finding a way to live with it that doesn't hurt you, and forgiveness is usually not something people choose. Ever. And that's okay.
Clean, melancholy, love it, this melody is haunted perfectly!
Wow! This song resonates on many levels.

Tom Waits!!! Good reference
Been listening to her album thinking I can hear Beatles influence.
This is definitely her most personal, best and most beautiful song. I love her so much. Greetings from Germany.
This one’s it, this is my favorite Sierra Ferrell song. It’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard.
Just when I wondered if Sierra could get any better, she blew it up with this song!!!!!
Keep them coming, girl, you're beyond AWESOME. 😢😊❤
New song! Wow Sooo insightful, true, and full of light. Healing ❤
Oh God baby girl looks tore up. Beautiful performance. Is she gonna make us cry?? She is a rock star.
Candle burning at both ends
She works hard. I often wonder though when she stops if she struggles and that's why she grinds so hard. Pray for her health.
Sweet melody, sweet voice, well done!
Hello from your hometown! I wanted to say this song from the new album is the most beautiful I have heard from you.
💔
..it breaks my Heart yet heals it at the same time. Mind blowing. Goddess
Beautiful.

Sierra, Wish You Well is the best song I have heard in years... and I listen to a lot of songs!
Yes, one of your best songs. Love you Sierra
Thank You
Im so in love with this song.
Well said young lady..Just a great old soul...
It`is like a lullaby but blue but full of forgiveness.

Not a “show” , but a historical event! Music quality likely to never happen again.
what if we just didn;'t compare her to anyone and let her exist in her own right?

Oh my goodness - Sierra, you gutted me with this one (but in a good way). Ah-mazing.
❤❤❤
This could potentially become a very important socially positively affective song. !
Sleeper on the album.
Kind of reminds me a little of Dolly Parton…(why did she keep looking down, do you think?)…🤍. Thanks again for your great videos!!!!
Reading her notes?
You are so welcome! She had her lyric sheet & setlist at her feet.
