i remember being in london in june of 1970 when the movie "let it be" came out.. being huge beatles fans, we went to see it and left pretty depressed thinking about how they were so obviously breaking up. we went into a pub for a beer and dinner after the movie. it had a jukebox and i walked over to see what beatles songs they had in it. saw aretha's version of that song, which we hadn't heard yet. it moved us to tears...still does. all hail the queen...
I played this at my daughters funeral. I was 17, she was 6 months. It was the worst day of my life. I played the beatles version of course. this was a long time ago.
