How I wish we could get an upload with part + and part 2 togther, because this little mini-nugget is an understated highlight of Newcombe's career, a career full of understated (and overstated) highlights. The most brilliantly played 3 chords ever.

Awesomeness! I can't remember when Passover came out but this must be quite early in the career of the Black Angels, when they had another woman as a member. So cool to see them playing with Anton...
Yeah. Funny story, they kicked Jen out of the band because she wouldn't memorize the keyboard notes/chords. She left the stickers on but it wasn't enough to allow her to skate by as the band continued to progress.

Great song, and anton is definitly a vistionary. However, when he says "we're going to make something up" that isnt true. The song is a BJM song called "feel it." Dont know if anyone cares, but just my input.

@homere9999 Well, you nailed it! I play music and I personally write 3-4 chord music mainly in 4/4 time. Not because thats all I can do,Ive been playing 20 years, got my 1st bass at 14. Ive played in Rush,Yes,Speedmetal, and other overplay type bands, its just not for me.I want to make music I can feel. Same thing with listening to bands. I truly believe one can write an incredibly talented song using 1 or 2 chords.

about the 3 chord thing...it doesn't matter. the sound of the song matters. does it sound good? who cares how much of a musician anyone is? the songs are important. that's what it boils down to.

totally agree with you. some of these fucked up bands with even more fucked up chords like incubus or radiohead will never rock as much as the BJM, Warlocks etc.

PEOPLE TAKES NOTES, these are real musicians, it's not about an image, they aren't fighting to push out ripping solos, they aren't fighting for the spotlight, they play music because they LOVE it and together I think you'll agree their sound is pretty awesome.
