If you use nextjs, how do you handle real-time client update? If you use websocket, then it’s meaningless to use serverless functions

That is definitely a pitfall to run into, but you would probably have to change hosting providers off of serverless. I believe that NextJS can run on a server if the hosting providers has it, but it is just that vercel does it serverless.
