Project Management: Finding the Critical Path(s) and Project Duration

In this short video I demonstrate how to draw a network diagram, find the critical path, and determine the project duration on a small example.

Out of ALL the examples I have seen, this is the BEST example for calculating the critical path(s). I agree with the comments below, the textbook nor the instructor's guidance did not help me. This is so understandable and clear. I am glad I stumbled on this video. Thank you!

I am impressed how easy you made it look. I was able to follow you all the way and even doing some of the paths before you finished the path. I wonder if yo have any videos explaining what are critical junctures and how to determine the them, in other words, what make it critical or not. I bet all yours students get As, because you make it so easy to understand. This is why being a professor (Dr) makes a difference in teaching courses, you have a deep knowledge in the subject matter. critical path is the path with zero slack, which means not one day can be wasted to complete the whole project. This means project time is the completion time. This means we have to find a path with max completion time. Also, critical path is also used for earliest completion time. Also, the float activity is zero for critical path.

Yes, Activity On Node. If the letters are in the circles, it is AON, if they are on the arrows, it is AOA.
