  • Service call about water leaking into store. Roofer says the roof is not the problem. You be the judge.

    This is crazy that this just popped up today because I’m going to the exact same issue where the roofers are since the HVAC unit and all of the drain pans have water but it’s definitely not overflowing and the ductwork is dry

      That was voice text that’s why it doesn’t make much sense but anyways it’s not the HVAC units on my end either

    Just today i had the same issue went on the roof, the roofers said it's coming from the economizer which has ductwork to avoid the Exhause fans. surely from the condition of the roof, there are way more chances that the roof is bad and not the unit. they just spend 10 min and said it hvac

      Absolutely man! Sorry I missed your comment, I feel like I did way more then the roofer that was there. Oh well, we are techs and not roofers for a reason. Thanks for watching and commenting brother!

    I swear roofers just use us HVAC techs to find their leaks for them! Cause it's never the roof don't ya know. Lol

    You know he didn’t want to remove the water to make the repair.

    Roof should not have that much standing water ever. Roof drains must be clogged.

    I love roofers that can't diagnose there own problems. LoL

    • @HughesManHVAC

      I feel like I did more investigation then the roofer, it's obvious that it's a roof issue. I like to prove to the facilities company that it is not our issue so we don't get tied up with repeat call for the same issue. Thanks for the comment Rick! Looking forward to your next video sir!

    You’ve got balls of steel going over that wall to the ladder. I’d look at that and go home 😂

      You got that right, that's exactly why I take a ton of pictures! It's like the service tech has to prove its a roof issue. Thank you for watching and commenting!

I'm no crazier than your average installer/tech! Great channel.... nice intro, solid video and audio. I gotta start uploading more to my channel.

    The roof is the problem

  • @captain2212
    @captain2212 3 года назад

    When it rains water gets into the unit. Not from the roof unless it drips with the standing water

    • @HughesManHVAC
      @HughesManHVAC  3 года назад

      I’m pretty sure water was not getting into the unit

    • @captain2212
      @captain2212 3 года назад

      @@HughesManHVAC maybe not that job. But you acting like those units won't leak.

    • @HughesManHVAC

      I never said those unit don’t leak, all units leak bro

    • @captain2212

      If the flap you lifted was leaking the water would go down it and it wouldn't sit on top... gravity

    • @HughesManHVAC
      @HughesManHVAC  3 года назад

      I was there to check the units for water leaks and I found none. What I did find was a lot of water on a old roof. I’m not a roofer, thank god!

    You are better off fixing yourself. Finding a roofer sober enough to trouble shot is on par with finding Narnia.
