I think back on the 2018-19 Blues and 2019 Nationals as teams that were dead in the water at midseason only to storm back and crash the playoffs. They won those year's championships. If these Preds make the playoffs, nobody is gonna wanna face them in the first round.
Trotz buys out Matt Duchene’s contract out of nowhere, he comes back to town and humiliates his old team. Afterwards he goes on stage and performs at a local bar. lol It makes Trotz so angry that he cancels a team concert. In doing so it turns the the entire season around for them. The NHL is a soap opera. 😆

I regret so much turning the game off when they were down by 3 luckily I turned it back on in time to watch the OT goal! I learned my lesson and will not turn my tv off like that again while watching the Preds…
I turned it off because I had to go to work. When I finally had a chance to check my phone it was 4-2 late in the 3rd. When I checked again later we had won, and all I could think was " wait, what, how? "
There are only a few certainties in life: -Death -Taxes -The preds having a dominant defender drafted in the second round that is integral to their playstyle and franchise backed by a Finnish Goalie
Actually brilliant, and should be implemented by all teams. Schedule a bunch of team trips and mini-vacations during the season, and it then gives the team something they can actually take away from the players. Players now have no pressure, nothing that really makes them feel like they need to earn it, outside of their own personal desire to win. Everyone makes good money and your contracts protect you from ever being dropped do to play, because its too financially impactful to the team. This was probably the first time most of these guys actually had something taken away from them due to their poor effort since they got drafted. These guys can't be made to do bag skates, can't be talked down to by the coach, they can't be cut, can't be benched due to not being able to be cut, and the cap. And look at how that motivational boost of being deprived something has affected their psychology.
I said it then & I'll say it again... Capitals trading Filip 'silky mittens' Forsberg for Martin Erat was one of the worst trades in NHL history. If the Caps didn't win the cup, everyone wouldn't have forgotten about it.
I know only good will come in the future with Brunette and Trotz and this only being their first year with the team and already the success they have had. Imagine what the team would be like had they already been adjusted to this system at the beginning of the season…
Stars fan here. Kinda inevitable that Winnipeg gets passed by Preds at this point. Also with Canucks Demko on LTIR, I can see Stars and Avs being favorites to win West Conf meaning we’d play Vegas likely. I don’t see Vegas passing Kings too since Kings have easily the easiest schedule left
point being is 2nd and 3rd likely gets Predators atm and an equally not ideal matchup of Vegas if u win div. Hopefully Kings fall and if we take Conference we play them but just wishing at that point
I miss Trots on Long Island. I like Roy but there is nothing like an old school coach. We'll get blown off the ice because 4-5 of our players are straight up LAZY and Roy defends them in press conferences. I miss having a coach with testicles who would bench players and RAISE expectations rather than lower them. Roy is like that "cool" parent trying to be friends with all the players rather than being the leader they need. Great job Trots!!

As a MN native, and now a long time resident of CO, I sure love seeing non-traditional cities experience the NHL. Not just the regular season, but playoff hockey. I got to attend a game at Bridgestone arena (in Nashville) a year ago, and it was a hoot, but only 75% full. After watching previous playoff games in Nashville, on TV, I can't imaging the energy their fan base feels, and gives, with this current win streak. They are an absolute force up and down the line-up, especially in net. My Avalanche are nearly unstoppable, but Nashville is built to make things tough. Can't wait for the playoffs!

If there was anything I would like to see improve it would probably be some of the highlights getting repeated more than once without some insights added, for example the clip where preds counter against wings is first shown "raw" and then broke down which is great butseeing the Forbersg goal when he tucks it in the goal after circling the net more than one time feels redundant (I do understand that you probably use it more as a filler while talking). Other than that content slaps and your videos are by far my favorite NHL content on youtube. Much love.
