I was there that day and saw you blogging, I mentioned to my husband that I follow you from IG. And to my surprise we are in this video walking behind you LOL!!! Sadly we didnt know about this spot. Thanks for all the info you provide.
I plan to cross the ponte santa trinita cause can see closer the ponte vecchio. Anyway you look gorgeous the both of you😍. nice weather and beautiful landscape!
Thanks for your kind comments! We love Ponte Santa Trinità, but it's quite a bit further from Piazzale Michelangelo. On the other hand, if you don't mind taking a little extra time, yes, it's a beautiful bridge to cross any time of day or year!
Another perfect video Elyssa and so useful for when we are in Florence in July. We shall for sure have a coffee from Artigianate, a coffee from a window brilliant. Thank you both.
Thanks for the great effort on your videos, I'll start my Italy trip next weekend, beginning in Naples then heading north to Rome, Florence and so on.. I need your advice on what to pack, because the weather is different than last year!
Thanks very much! I'm glad you enjoy my videos. I have a lot of videos about what to pack for every season, as well as pages on my website. For spring, start here: ruclips.net/video/WqTQJjQj1dQ/видео.html
Another awesome video. I am using all your vides to plan my Italy trip for easter. Can we take taxi to here ? is there any app we can use in Florence to order cab/taxi ? also, wine window:) I am hoping to come across one of them while I take this.
Thanks so much! If you mean can you take a taxi to Piazzale Michelangelo, yes, I talk about that at the end of the video. Regarding taxis, you may want to watch this video - much of it can also be applied to Florence including the taxi apps I recommend: ruclips.net/video/5D6TznkGMJo/видео.html As for wine windows, check out this video about an amazing Florence food tour you could take, that includes a wine window: ruclips.net/video/LkKbr_vakkQ/видео.html
Thank you! I suggest preparing for rain and bringing at least one pair of waterproof shoes, a light waterproof shell (in spring, summer and early fall), and a travel umbrella. I have more packing videos for every season, and this video about what to do in Rome when it rains: ruclips.net/video/RRXWkpkNaWw/видео.html
I would have loved it if you had been more detailed on walk such as. Street names, what landmarks to look for to guide you and which way to turn and aren't there several ways to get up there?
Oh thanks for that constructive comment! it's a great suggestion and I'll make sure to incorporate that in my future walking videos. We do link to a Google map so that should help, I hope!
Thanks for reminding me! I have created the map for following the exact walk we did: www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=1X4Hz_xEmjEGWq7U_NuUrOPNuetTOjSc&usp=sharing
As a state-run site, the Uffizi offers free entry to everyone under 18. You just buy your own ticket and then when you go, you can collect their free tickets on site. I've never heard of a child being turned away. www.uffizi.it/en/pages/free-and-reduced-tickets#free
Yes, I thought I'd added it to the description but it was not there I've added it now. Here is the map: www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1X4Hz_xEmjEGWq7U_NuUrOPNuetTOjSc&usp=sharing

If you could share a link to a built route in Google maps with others, it would be fantastic! That would attract many viewers to your channel

Am I remembering correctly that a bit farther on is a church with a lovely view both down into Florence and out to the countryside around it?
If you mean the Monastery of San Miniato, yes, I mention it and show a few clips in the video towards the end. It's a stunning church!
It’s a spectacle. Walk up for the sunset following the path these people show or one of several others.
It’s so beautiful at sunset!
