Pulldown 4x6 cable row 2x5 Single-arm Pullovers(1 set, do 5 reps each side then switch to the first side and repeat the process with no rest until you can't perform any more reps) Cable Row 1x6
That isn't a little amount of sets, 4 sets on lat pulldown is plenty, a cable row for 2 sets is good simply based on the fact he is going for a lat focussed day, and a single arm pulldown is a good finisher I think that's plenty for a good back day @@money657
@@SampsonWrestling but be fr. For people that are natty is 8 sets really optimal. I’ve been kinda leaning towards 12 for small muscles like bi/tri , and considerably more for my back and legs
DAMN MAN this training so much better than just throwing heavy weight around, its finally hitting home that the negative part of the rep builds a lot of hypertrophy which if you just let gravity do the work and don't control your totally missing out on, props to sam.
The "ramble" today was actually really thoughtful. You took the pre-workout, you dressed the part, you drove to the gym, you did the first 10 reps, why wouldn't you go hard on those last effective reps? Why wouldn't you use enough weight to get there?
Just got done preparing my breakfast and tracking my macros. Getting ready for some cardio and saw Sam blessed us with an early morning video. Let get those gains!

Day 33 and that back/waist progress is on another level! Respect for sticking to it and showing us what's possible with hard work. This series has motivated me so much that I’m also sharing my fitness journey on my channel.
I think if you equate overall volume of tension x time under tension with the one rep max deadlifts to whatever tension you get from let’s say barbell row for reps, you’ll get equal gains. If your lats spend 30 seconds under tension of 315 and 30 seconds under tension of 675 then the 675 will surely create more stimulus for muscle breakdown as well as strength. Hypertrophy seems to be about a training volume greater than like a 5x5 routine which is great for strength training. Anything 5x5 and under is great for strength stimulus while anything greater than 5x5 is probably getting into muscle growth territory. Then at that point, weight/tension is just another factor to aid the stimulus of whatever volume/time under tension is done If two guys do 5x5 training (same volume) and one goes heavy and one goes light, the heavy guy will gain more strength but they will both probably gain the same muscle mass which is not much at all because of the low volume. If anything, the heavy guy would obviously gain a little more muscle, if there were any muscle gain between the two If two guys did 10x10 training, one did light and one did heavy, the guy that trained heavy would surely gain more muscle because the weight is the only differing factor between their two stimuli providing overall recoverable tension experienced from the muscle in a session, and if any gained strength at all it would of course be the heavy guy. The heavy guy may probably need more carbs/protein than the light guy due to his increased workload to equate recoverability in his work output Recoverable Growth Stimulus = Tension (aka weight) x Time Under Tension (aka volume) 💯💪🏽🙏🏽
Love the new aspect ratio, looks like cristopher nolan directed your vid. The mic is picking up a lot of weird noise and crowdnoise tho. Love from France
hey sam I'm on the cut now man , I was 276 when I started and started my cut 2 weeks ago at 260lbs. should get my workout in before I eat and break my fast bc I'm not eating after 7pm. I almost feel like I want to work out before I break my fast but the energy well help of the food too right.
