Sorry that some low-life stole your welder. You’re a great person and good things will continue to happen for you. He, on the other hand is a symbol of everything that is wrong with society and only bad things will come his way! You do a great job restoring your cars and put a lot of patience, detail, and hard work into every step. Again, I can’t wait to see what you accomplish with Casper. Although I’m sure Frankenstein will be awesome too! Best wishes and happy holidays to you and your family!
I am sitting with the exact same issues, heater channel rotten to the crust. I am manufacturing new channels, it is a lot of work. I wish you all the luck, looking good. I am also doing it on RUclips, so I must make no mistakes, they are watching our every move, haha.
Junior, wow! I wouldn’t know where to start with so much rust and metal that needs patching or replacing! I have a 72 Super Beetle that had some rust issues but I hope it just needs some patching! I watch a channel called “Fitzee’s Fabrications” and he restores rusty cars and shows techniques how to patch and fabricate parts using simple tools, very old school! So maybe his channel can give you some good tips! Good luck! Sorry the scum stole your machine, that really stinks to be violated like that!
I love seeing rusted out metal being replaced by new and the car regaining the structural integrity. CT, Gary with Jawbreaker, Jeremy with My way mfg, Mike Fn, Ok Fixer, Auto Anatomy, Dylan McCool, Budget Buildz, Greg’s Garage, Fixin Bugs and Stuff, Slade, The Duckman, Mustie 1, Mad Ginger Customs, 5150mxVW and you have been doing it successfully. Fine work; I believe you might want to do the metal work on this one and leave it prepped for the next owner to take it to the next level. I am pretty sure you’ll find a very eager and happy buyer if the rust is gone. I hate the feeling of getting stuff stolen; you feel violated. Somehow something like that happening in the area you live seems remote. Scratching my head.

Looking forward to when you start working on, and making videos of Casper. So many options with that project!
