I think that you should probably try to get the channels temped on the Body first. The holes on the frame are oversized for a reason. There’s a little room for give-and-take if you’re not just quite perfect. You can just spot weld the channels onto the body, and then bring the body over to the frame, and then make sure all the holes are lined up, and then you weld the channels in place. When I did mine I did the right one first and then when it was OK I did the left one. Either way, I’m sure you’ll get it, remember it’s just steel!!

El propósito de presentarlos en el piso del carro es solo para verificar el alineamiento denlos rotos contra los canales de calefacción “heater channel”. Aún que también se pueden dejar instalados en el piso “floor pan” y colocar la caja sobre ellos para darles los primeros puntos de soldadura.
On my 1964, which the heater channels looked a bit different the front two bolts did not align up properly. I had to remove the front cap which your heater channels do not have and modify where the bolt goes into the cage nut. So I had to rebuild the front of the heater channel.
